30 Day Movie Challenge

1) Your favorite movie
My favorite movie is Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. It's hilarious and every time I watch it, it just makes me insanely happy. It's just awesome.

2) The last movie you watched
Well, I'm not sure if this counts, but I watched one of the Agatha Christie's Poirot episodes last night. Technically, it's not a movie, but it's the length of a movie, so I'm gonna count it.

3) Favorite action/adventure movie
Does Harry Potter fall under this category? If so, I'd have to go with Harry Potter. Otherwise, I'd probably say Pirates of the Caribbean.

4) Favorite horror movie
Oooh... this one's a toughie because I love horror movies so much. Probably the Shining, even though I don't think it was scary. I also love Saw and The Ring... and The Evil Dead. I was impressed by Insidious, because it managed to be pretty good while being PG-13 which is rare.

5) Your favorite drama movie
There's this one that I really love called The Ultimate Gift. It's not insanely well-known, but it's seriously amazing. I'd recommend it to literally everyone ever. Another that I love is technically a drama-comedy called The Truman Show, which I hadn't seen until a couple months ago, but I fell in love.

6) Your favorite comedy movie
Well, I already mentioned Bill & Ted, so I'll just talk about my 2nd favorite movie, which I generally categorize as a comedy but cannot really be defined by any one category. It's funny, but it's also pretty action-packed, with a lot of sword fighting and large rodents. It's also very romantic, containing the most passionate kiss ever. I am, of course, speaking of The Princess Bride, which is near perfection. I love it way too much.

7) A movie that makes you happy
I guess that whenever I'm sad, I'll turn on Bill&Ted, but other than that one, Up and Finding Nemo are some of my go-to cheer-up movies. I love them, and they always make me laugh my head off.

8) A movie that makes you sad
The Ultimate Gift... this movie that I like called Breaking Free... mostly animal movies though. Like Hachi: A Dog's Tale, and Eight Below. Stuff like that.

9) A movie that you know practically the whole script of:
Pretty much any movie that's among my favorites. Bill & Ted, Princess Bride... I guess some that I haven't mentioned would be She's The Man, Sydney White, and Clue. I could recite those from memory.

10) Your favorite director
I don't think I really have one! I guess whatever guy took over Harry Potter on #3 because he turned things around significantly.

11) Your favorite movie from your childhood
This could be answered several ways. When I was younger, I really enjoyed any Disney movie, but especially Snow White. Now, if I were to look back and say which, of the movies that I watched as a child, is my current favorite, I'd probably say The Lion King.

12) Your Favorite Animated Movie
Let me just go ahead and list my favorite Disney ones.
10) Robin Hood
9) Peter Pan
8) 101 Dalmatians
7) Cinderella
6) Alice In Wonderland
5) The Black Cauldron
4) The Lion King 2
3) Mulan
2) The Lion King
1) The Aristocats

13) A movie that you used to love but now hate
High School Musical 1&2. Fortunately I stopped liking the series by the time they decided that #3 would be in theaters, but not soon enough that I hadn't seen the first 2 WAY too many times and had bought both of the soundtracks. My disney channel obsession was crazy.

14) Your favorite quote from any movie
Ok, I have 2
"Teacher: Ted, who was Joan of Arc? Ted: Uh... Noah's wife?"- Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
"Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."- The Princess Bride

15) The first movie you saw in theaters
I have absolutely no idea. I was too young to remember. I thought I remembered going to see the pagemaster in the theater, but it came out the year I was born, so I know I didn't see it then. (If I saw it in the theater, I probably saw it at one of those summer things where a certain kids movie plays every week). The earliest memory I have of actually seeing a movie in a theater is when The Phantom Menace (Star Wars Ep. 1) came out.

16) The last movie you saw in theaters
The Evil Dead. Not as good as the original, but I liked it. Hopefully, I get to see Gatsby before it leaves.

17) The best movie you saw during the last year
I'm gonna answer this 2 ways
- The best movie I saw that came out within the last year: Probably the Hobbit or Sinister. I really liked those two, as well as Dark Shadows. But I think I was the only person who liked that one.
- The best movie I saw for the first time this year, regardless of when it came out. The Truman Show and Sweeney Todd. I hadn't seen either until maybe 6 months ago and they're amazingly good. LOVE.

18) A movie that disappointed you the most
Hmmm... I was definitely disappointed by Looper. It seemed really interesting, but there were so many plot holes and obvious Twilight Zone rip-offs that I couldn't appreciate it.

19) Your favorite actor
I have quite a few favorites. I really love Johnny Depp (my favorite of his movies is Edward Scissorhands) and Joel McHale (I'm a huge Community fan). Tom Felton (Harry Potter, duh), Steve Carell and John Krasinski (The Office, obvi) are also some of my favorites.

20) Your favorite actress
I hate saying this now that she's gone crazy, but I'm a big fan of Amanda Bynes's movies, and she's been my favorite actress for a long time (my favorite of her movies is She's the Man and I also love Sydney White). I also really love Emma Watson (Harry Potter, duh) and Emma Stone (The Rocker, Easy A, The Help).

21) The most overrated movie
Hmmm... I guess the Twilight movies.

22) The most underrated movie
One that for me is really underrated is The Black Cauldron. It's one of my favorite Disney movies, but almost no one knows about it or knows that it's a Disney movie.

23) Your favorite character from any movie
ANY movie? That's a tough one. I really like Emma Stone's character in The Rocker, and obviously I'm a big fan of Fred and George from Harry Potter. I like way too many movies to choose just one.

24) Favorite documentary
Documentary... hmm... I don't watch a lot of documentaries, but I watch a lot of reality shows, like world's worst tattoos, and competitions like Project Runway.

25) A movie that no one would expect you to love
Uh... well...I don't really know. I like a lot of different types of movies. Maybe Legally Blonde?

26) A movie that is a guilty pleasure
Guilty pleasure... I guess that one too?

27) Favorite classic movie
12 Angry Men is one of my favorite movies ever. It's SO good.

28) Movie with the best soundtrack
I really love Hairspray!

29) A movie that changed your opinion about something
I really don't thinkt that one has...

30) Your least favorite movie
I don't think I really have a single least favorite. I have a least favorite type of movie though. I'm not a big fan of superhero movies. I do, however, actually like the Batman movies, though.

30 Day McFly Challenge

I really couldn't help myself with this one. McFly is my favorite band, and I can't just waste an opportunity to obsess over them! So here it goes!
My boys, from L to R in both pics: Dougie Poynter, Tom Fletcher, Harry Judd, Danny Jones.  The older one is from about 2004/05, the newer one is... sometime in the last couple years.

Day 01 – Your favourite song:
Lies!
Day 02 – Your least favourite song:
Hypnotized.
Day 03 – A song that makes you happy:
I would have to say that Love Is Easy makes me happy really easily!
Day 04 – A song that makes you sad:
She Falls Asleep. It's absolutely beautiful, and I can't believe Tom composed it when he was 19/20. It's such a beautifully sad song.
Day 05 – A song that reminds you of someone:
Honestly, I can't think of any songs that make me think of someone specifically. One For The Radio makes me think about all the people who bash McFly. But that's about it.
Day 06 – A song that reminds you of somewhere:
Every time I listen to The Last Song, it takes me back to my sophomore year of high school, sitting in a car late at night on a long car ride. That was the first time I listened to the whole song. Before that, I'd only ever listened to the first bit and got bored and skipped it. When I heard the fast part, I fell in love with it, and that's what caused me to fall in love with that whole CD.
Day 07 – A song that reminds you of a certain event:
I listened to End of The World quite a bit on 12-21-2012 haha ;)
Day 08 – A song that you know all the words to:
Uh... That would be every single McFly song. Not even kidding.
Day 09 – A song that you can dance to:
I guess Shine A Light. But that shouldn't be an accomplishment, boys!
Day 10 – A song that makes you fall asleep:
I actually often fall asleep to their music because the more familiar something is, the more I can listen to it and fall asleep to it. And I usually just turn on Radio:ACTIVE on shuffle.
Day 11 – A song where you love the vocals:
I'll Be Your Man... the stripped down version. Not the album version. The album version totally ruined it. Seriously.
Day 12 – A song where you pay more attention to just one instrument:
Definitely Five Colours. That guitar intro is just awesome. Also, their new song Red... I'm currently obsessed with Tom's guitar part on that. It's brilliant.
Day 13 – A song with embarrassing lyrics:
I'd have to go with Please, Please, because it's about Lindsay Lohan.
Day 14 – A song that no one would expect you to love:
Well, my first instinct is to say none, because everyone knows my obsession with McFly... but I guess if I had to choose one, I'd say Nowhere Left To Run. Above The Noise is clearly their weakest album, with as poppy as it is, but Nowhere Left To Run is my favorite on that one (If we're not counting I'll Be Your Man's overproduced album version).
Day 15 – A song that describes you:
Hmm... I guess Smile? Or Only The Strong Survive? Or We Are the Young
Day 16 – A song that you used to love but now ‘hate’:
I don't 'hate' any McFly songs, but I definitely lost quite a bit of love for Above The Noise. When it first came out, I was willing to accept the change reluctantly, but at this point, I don't like the change. Uhhh... I guess the biggest one apart from that would be Do Ya. It was one of my favorites on Radio:ACTIVE when I first started listening to it, but now that I'm really familiar with the album, it's one of my least favorites on the album.
Day 17 – A song that you hear often on the radio:
I'm American, and they don't get played in America :(
Day 18 – A song that makes you feel proud of them:
Hmm... as far as their growth, definitely Red. Out of their recent songs, that one stands out above them all, because I feel like the quality is way better than Above The Noise, and even Love Is Easy, and certainly better than the two newer ones from Memory Lane. But as far as overall... probably Bubble Wrap, because it's one of their best slow songs, and it's so emotional.
Day 19 – A song from your favourite album:
Everybody Knows, off of Radio:ACTIVE, which just happens to be my all-time favorite CD ever.
Day 20 – A song that you listen to when you’re angry:
Only The Strong Survive or Going Through the Motions.
Day 21 – A song that you listen to when you’re happy:
Hmmm... Little Joanna... Star Girl... yeah :)
Day 22 – A song that you listen to when you’re sad:
Definitely She Falls Asleep.
Day 23 – A song that you want to play at your wedding:
So, obviously everyone's gonna say All About You, but I'm gonna take a different path. I'd want I'll Be Your Man acoustic (or maybe my husband singing it to me?) and The Heart Never Lies.
Day 24 – A song that you want to play at your funeral:
The Last Song. Maybe A Walk In The Sun... I think it's fitting, but it's not one of my favorite McFly ones.
Day 25 – A song that makes you laugh:
That Girl, because during the guitar solo, I always picture Danny in the music video breaking the ceiling... and also Please, Please because of its music video... and Star Girl because of its music video... and Transylvania because of its music video.
Day 26 – A song that you can play on an instrument:
I can do the intro to Five Colours on guitar.
Day 27 – A song that you wish you could play:
All of them! But I am learning the ukulele and I want to be able to play Love Is Easy by sometime soon.
Day 28 – A song that makes you feel guilty:
Guilty? I never feel guilty listening to my boys!
Day 29 – The first song you ever heard of them:
This is a tricky one, because I'm not sure of the timeline on this. I have like... 3 separate incidents.
#1- Five Colours, because I saw Just My Luck before I started listening to them.
#2- I was watching a Jonas Brothers interview (I loved them so much) and Nick (my favorite) said his favorite song was Transylvania by McFly and so I looked it up. I thought it was weird. Idk if this or me seeing JML came first, but I know that I didn't mentally connect the incidents until I actually started listening to them.
#3- Through the Jonas Bros, I discovered Busted and fell in love, and just like all of my music obsessions, I found them on youtube and then watched suggested youtube videos, including McFly! I think the first one I heard by them through this was Five Colours. So I'd say that overall, my first McFly song was Five Colours.
Day 30 – Your favorite song at this time last year:
Still Lies. Lies has been my favorite for a long time. I also love Sorry's Not Good Enough, Five Colours, Transylvania, and That Girl. Those are my top 5. But I love all of their songs. Seriously.

30 Day Makeup Challenge

I figured this one would be a good one to do because although I enjoy makeup some, I really don't know a ton about makeup and usually do the same thing every day, so for all you girls who feel inferior after seeing makeup-savvy girls doing the challenge, this one's for you ;) prepare to laugh at my ignorance.

1) When did you start putting on makeup?
I wore lip gloss for a while before doing actual makeup, but as far as actual makeup, I started wearing it when I was 14. I wasn't a huge fan of makeup. At all.

2) How did you learn to put on makeup?
Well, my mom and I went to a makeup store and the lady put on some makeup and it looked good, but I was never able to replicate it... she used loose powder which is better for extremely acne-prone skin like mine, but I've never been able to get the same coverage the lady got... which is why I use liquid foundation now. Everything else is self-taught.

3) Favorite brand?
I would have to say Mary Kay, mostly because my aunt works for them and on more than one occasion has given me shopping sprees on their website for a birthday/Christmas, etc. Almost everything I've gotten has been top quality, and their are certain products of theirs that I swear by.

4) Do you like wearing foundation? If so, what's your color and favorite?
Well, I hate that I have to put it on to get my skin to not be red and blotchy, but I guess I like the benefits. I'm literally the lightest color of any foundation. Usually, that's not even light enough. I'm THAT pale. Lately, I've been using the acne-fighting Neutrogena foundation, but I've also had success with the Covergirl one with the pump (I'm terrible at remembering the actual names of the products)

5) Favorite lipstick, lip gloss, and lip liner?
I honestly HATE lipstick and lip liner, and don't own any or use any. Generally, if I put anything on my lips, it's chapstick. These are my 2 most used chapsticks. The top one is a cherrry and lemon one from Bath and Body Works, and the lower one is just cherry Carmex. I use both of them quite often.

6) Do you like/ wear fake lashes?
No. I think they look stupid and are pointless.

7) Favorite eye shadow color?
It's a Mary Kay one. It's called Granite and basically, it's a pretty natural looking brownish with a little metallic/silvery thrown in.
8) What's your favorite daytime look?
Well, if I had as much time as I wanted to do my makeup, I would apply foundation& concealer. Black eyeliner. Mascara. Eye shadow. Lip stuff. Yep, that's about it.

9) Picture of your makeup collection
Unfortunately, it's all scattered all over the place, so that won't really work. Some is still packed from school, some is here, some is in my bathroom, it's just everywhere.

10) Favorite makeup brush?
See, I just don't see the big importance of fancy makeup brushes... I just buy cheap ones. They get the job done.

11) Do you like wearing bronzer?
Ok, let's be real here. I don't even know how to apply that, where it goes, what it does, or what it even looks like. So what do you think?

12) Favorite mascara?
I use Covergirl. I use the one in the red tube. I don't even know what it's called. I just picked that one cause it's red and I like Covergirl.

13) Where do you keep your makeup?
I keep most of it in my bathroom, but while at school I have a little container I keep it all in. Usually it's all over the counter at home because I have an inability to put anything back where it belongs.

14) Favorite Youtube gurus?
I don't understand the girls who buy multiple makeup products all the time. How are you going to use all of that? I like Zoella, but I usually only watch her when she's doing a collab with some of my other favorite youtubers, like Alfie Deyes, Marcus Butler, and Sam Pepper. Zalfie 5EVAH!

15) Do you wear blush?
Sometimes, yes. It's not big on my priorities list, though.

16) Do you copy any celebrity looks?
Honestly, I have a problem with anyone trying to copy anyone. Whatever the reason. Be original!

17) Favorite makeup artist?
Uh... yeah... I don't have one. I guess Zoella.

18) What's your favorite nighttime look?
I think you're assuming that I go out at night. Yeah, that doesn't happen. Nope.

19) Favorite concealer?
I use Neutrogena's acne-fighting concealer

20) Favorite eyeshadow primer?
I don't use that. I don't really see a point, honestly...

21) Where do you buy your makeup?
Well, like I said, I get a lot from the Mary Kay website, but other than that, usually at Walmart or Target. I really don't go out of my way to get anything.

22) Favorite toner?
Again, I have no idea what this looks like, what it's used for, or where it goes. So I have no idea what my favorite toner is.

23) Favorite eye shadow palette and brush palette?
Well, most of the eye shadow I use is in a Mary Kay set thing that has multiple different eye shadows which I bought individually. So I guess it would have to be that? and I don't have a brush palette...

24) Which type of eye shadow do you like?
Most of the ones I have are mineral/powder and shimmer. So there ya go.

25) Favorite eyeliner
Eyeliner is 100% my favorite beauty product and I swear by the Mary Kay black eyeliner. Seriously, I absolutely love it. It lasts all day perfectly, even with my oily, acne prone skin. It's the only eyeliner I'll use. That, and the steely colored Mary Kay one.

26) Do you wear makeup every day?
If I'm going somewhere, I almost always put on foundation because of my terribly broken-out face, but other than that, I may put on just eyeliner and be ready to go.

27) Favorite powder
I don't really have one. Never had good luck with powder.

28) Favorite makeup remover?
I just have some walmart makeup wipes. They're cheap and simple. And they work.

29) Do you like wearing liquid liner?
No. When I first started using eyeliner, I found it hard enough to use the regular pencil, let alone the liquid. I gave up and stuck with the pencil til I found the twist top Mary Kay one that I use now.

30) Picture of yourself with and without makeup?
So somehow I managed to find a decent picture of me without makeup... so there's not a big difference between the two. I really don't know how I managed to pull that off. Anyway, the one with straight hair and red bangs is with. Curly, all brown hair is without. I guess maybe 'cause it's older? Maybe I had less acne then?... No, that's not true. Idk.

21 Things About You Challenge

1) What is your name and were you named after anyone?
If I haven't already said it somewhere on here, my name is Kristen! And I wasn't named after anyone, my parents just liked the name. My mom did tell me, though, that if she'd had another daughter, her name would be Reagan.

2) What are your top 3 favorite colors?
Ooh, only 3? I'm gonna do this just saying black isn't a color. Because... it's kinda not. But I love black.
Because I'm really picky, I'll link the exact shade I'm talking about
My favorite color is red. . I also love turquoise/teal, which are technically 2 different colors, but since most people lump them together and assume they're the same, I will too. I also really love purple.

3) What kind of people do you surround yourself with?
Hmm... well, in August, I went off to college, and the only real connecting thread through most of the friends I made was the fact that like me, they don't drink and don't party. So basically, I'm drawn to straightedge people like myself. Another requirement is usually liking Harry Potter, but that's different.

4) List four goals you plan to accomplish in the future
-graduate college with a degree in music and psychology!
- learn to play some instruments better
-publish a book
-do something with my life

5) List five things that make you happy
puppies, dr. pepper, stuffed animals, good music, and youtube.

6) Describe yourself in a lengthy paragraph
Lengthy? Lengthy is my middle name. I go way too into detail with almost everything. I'm a walking confusing contradiction. I obsess over things pretty easily and one of my biggest obsessions is Harry Potter. I use my house to describe myself. I'm a Slytherclaw- combo of Ravenclaw and Slytherin. I'm a grammar nazi. I'm a huge music snob, and I love good music more than almost anything else. I've gotten extremely interested in psychology in recent months, and have decided to study it in college, along with music. If my plans go correctly, I want to do research on music and the brain. I'm also a pretty big nerd in general, and I enjoy being by myself a lot. My favorite thing about being home for the summer (besides spending time with family) is not having a roommate and being able to stay up late in bed on my laptop, like I am now. I love and appreciate almost anything artistic and nearly all of my interests in life are either intelligence or creativity driven. I love reading and have wanted to be an author almost my entire life. I've been working on a few stories for several years, but they've had to be put on the backburner, since it's not a feasable or stable job. One day, though, I do really want to publish at least one. I HATE really big changes (like moving and making new friends- I'm not a people person) but I adapt really well to change and usually grow to like it. And if I don't have small changes in my life, I go a little crazy ( I have to rearrange my CD shelf or bookshelf often to keep it interesting). So yeah, I think that's about it...

7) List seven wishes
I'm thinking that these should be illogical/ genie wishes. So that's what I'm going to do.
-I wish that there was a cure for celiac disease. It's when you're gluten intolerant. My mom's had it since I was 3, and it would be nice for her to eat whatever she wants, whenever she wants it, without having to worry about it.
-That my family had never moved to the town we live in now. We moved here for a job, and since I've been gone to college, I'm spending the entire summer (including my birthday) without any friends :(
-That my dad had a stable job back in Dallas. Which is kinda a supplement to the last one.
-That there was a foolproof cure to acne. Ever since jr. high, I've had pretty bad acne, and nothing I've ever used has been helpful, and I can't use anything that uses salicylic acid because my face drys up immediately.
-That I was a lot better at playing the viola. As a music major, I should be able to play better than I do, even though I don't want to go into performance.
-That I would never get nervous. Because that always messes up my viola performances. Always.
-That I could make money doing this rather than working in a store. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited (and nervous) about starting my new job, but it would be so nice to earn money from blogging.
8) What is your go-to song?
I guess it depends on the situation. When I'm trying to fall asleep, I always listen to the Parachute album 'Losing Sleep' (I honestly JUST realized how ironic that is) and I always start it on the song Ghost. It's kinda funny, the first time I used that cd, it was on shuffle and it started on Ghost and I fell asleep immediately, and the next time I used it, it started on a different song and I couldn't fall asleep. So I started the shuffle on Ghost and I fell asleep. So it's almost a superstition/luck thing. ANYWAY, I have go-to summer songs (The Beach- All Time Low, Barefoot Blue Jean Night- Jake Owen), go-to jam songs, go-to chill songs, etc.

9) What is your favorite season and why?
Summer! And not just because there's no school. Although that's a big factor. I'm a June baby, so summer means birthday. It also means warm weather, which I LOVE. I hate the cold. SO MUCH. Currently, I'm not a big fan of being out of school because I'm not with my friends, but I'll live.
10) What is your favorite movie?
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. In case you didn't know, it's a 1989 movie (I love 80's movies SO MUCH) about 2 guys who are besties and total idiots. They're about to fail history and flunk out of school, and if they do, Ted gets sent to military school and they can never start their band. In the future, their music has caused complete peace and happiness, so a guy named Rufus is sent back in time with a time machine to help the guys pass their final history report. It's completely stupid humor and I absolutely love it (Favorite quote- Teacher: "Ted, who was Joan of Arc?" Ted: "Uhhh... Noah's wife?"). Fun fact, this movie is also where the "conspiracy Keanu" meme comes from. And I can even tell you the exact moment it's a screenshot of. Bill and Ted are in England, trying to escape knights who are chasing them. Bill is trying to get the time machine to work, and Ted sees that the knights are closing in on them.

11) What is your dream vacation?
Going to Orlando and getting Disney and Universal all to myself. BEST. VACATION. EVER.

12) List six things you love about yourself.
- I really love that I don't have to try super hard to do well at school, even now in college. I understand things really quickly.
- I love my taste in music. It seems really obvious, but I just think I have the most perfect music taste ever.
-I love that I'm different. I don't want to be like everyone else.
- I love that I've made the decision not to drink, because if I wasn't so resolute in my decision, there have been way too many opportunities to be pulled into that.
- I love my eyes. They're brown, but they're a goldeny brown and I have a freckle in my right eye. So far, I've only met one other person who has a freckle in their eye, and she happens to have the same color eyes as me, and have it in the exact same place. And she also happens to be my best friend. :)
- I love my birthmark. I've never seen it, because it's on the back of my neck, but it's shaped like a pawprint and it runs in my family.

13) What do you look for in a relationship?
I think at this point, I have a bit of a better idea what I want. My last relationship was a year and a half, but it ended really badly and we never talk now. I've realized that dating someone as stubborn as myself is a bad idea. I also know that I couldn't date anyone controlling because I'm pretty independent and don't like being told what to do. I've also realized in the past few months that my ex didn't really respect me as much as I thought. I would set boundaries and he would break them. He'd apologize and feel bad, but he still broke them, and it happened more often than most accidents. So respect for me and my boundaries is a big one. The same religious beliefs is also a big thing because religion is a big part of my life and relates to most things that I do, so if a guy didn't at least respect (aha that word again) my beliefs behind my actions, it would be a no-go.
On a more lighthearted note, I like funny and sweet guys. And though my celebrity crushes all kinda have a similar punk look (Alex Gaskarth, Dan Howell, Kellin Quinn, etc), in my real everyday life, I don't really have a 'type'. If you look at all the guys I've dated, they have more in common as far as personality than looks.

14) What is your favorite book?
My favorite book series is Harry Potter. But as far as stand-alone books, I have 3 favorites.
-And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
-Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
-All-American Girl by Meg Cabot

15) Do you want to have kids in the future?
Quite honestly, no. I don't really like kids. I'm sorry, but I don't see how babies are cute. I just don't. Kids are annoying. And they're incredibly painful to give birth to. They're expensive, and I just don't think I want to bring a child that I wouldn't even want into this messed up world. Having said that, if I ended up actually having a child, I would try my best to take care of him/her and be a good mom. But I just don't want to go down that road.
16) Name three people who inspire you.
Tom Fletcher- he's an amazing musician and I just love him.
Dan Levitin- He's a rock musician/producer turned cognitive psychologist and I have a lot in common with him as far as what I want to study.
Hunter Hayes- When he was 19, he released a CD. On that CD, he wrote/co-wrote every single song, played every single instrument on every song, did all vocals, and co-produced the CD. And he's been playing instruments and writing music pretty much since he was born. I'm just insanely impressed by his talent.

17) What is your favorite quote?
A single favorite quote? What about a saying? "Que sera, sera" What will be, will be.

18) Life experiences or materialistic things?
Life experiences, of course.

19) Favorite lyric from a song?
This is a very hard question to answer because I listen to way too much music.
"Manage me, I'm a mess. Turn a page, I'm a book, half unread.... maybe it's not my weekend, but it's gonna be my year, and I'm so sick of watching while the minutes pass as I go nowhere, and this is my reaction to everything I fear, 'cause I've been going crazy I don't wanna waste another minute here"

20) Tell a story of a life-changing experience.
Hmm... I hate to be a party pooper, but I really can't think of any life-changing experiences I've had...

21) Have a follower ask you a question about anything and answer truthfully.
Erm... That's difficult because I'm not on tumblr, so I just found a random question generator.
"What is your favorite drink?"
Dr. Pepper. I'm kinda an addict. You think that's an exaggeration, but it really isn't :/

2) Favorite song on The Party Scene
Believe it or not, I do actually have this CD in my iTunes. And believe it or not, this is the only CD of the bunch that I DIDN'T pay for. I have bought every single other CD of theirs that I own. PROOF.
3) Your Favorite Song on Put Up Or Shut Up
From this CD and onward, I'll list all the songs from best to worst, IMO. I don't have huge opinions on this CD, because it's not one of my favorites. I don't listen to it much. The top 3 songs are the only ones I really listen to on a regular basis.

9) Your favorite picture of Rian Dawson
Definitely, 100% this one. In case you don't know, Rian's girlfriend of like... forever, Cassadee Pope, recently won The Voice. This picture is Rian's reaction on the blind auditions when everyone except CeeLo turned around almost immediately. I love this picture because it's just SO precious. And it shows how proud he is, and I just love it.

Oh goodness. Be prepared. So... most girls are like:
Oh yes, this is my fave pic, whatta HOTTIEEE.

These three are my favorites. The first is Jack and Alex seeing how well they know each other. It's absolutely hilarious. The second one is a short video of Alex and Jack (er... Ben) being silly. It's adorable. The third one is Alex and Jack (in their Halloween costumes) answering questions about their bandmates.

29) How you found out about ATL
I got into Paramore in 8th grade, and started watching a lot of their music videos on youtube, and found other bands through that, including ATL.

30 Day College/University Challenge

Day 1 - Which college was your number one choice? Are you going to that school? If not, how did you handle the rejection? If so, is it everything you always thought it would be?
The college I go to, Rhodes College, was my top choice. It's better than I thought it would be. I wasn't AT ALL excited about college. I don't like being forced to make new friends. But it turned out AMAZING.

Day 2 - What school do you go to? What is something that makes your school unique, or that makes the school special to you?
Well, I already said above that I go to Rhodes College. Uhhh... our fight song says "Roll Lynx, Roll" which is a reference to Lynxes vomiting and rolling in their vomit. I'm not sure if that's out of fear or mating, but it's a legit thing!

Day 3 - If you live away from home, share your moving day experience. If you commute, do you feel like you are missing out on a true college experience?
I'm currently at home, but I lived in the dorm during the school year. The only interesting part about my moving day is that the dorm I lived in is notorious for being extremely confusing to navigate. If you wanna see what I'm talking about, skip to about 3:55 in this video, and it shows people trying to traverse my dorm. The sad part is that I knew exactly where they were the entire time while watching this a minute ago. The part of the hall they ended their little quest in is actually where my best friend lived this year :)

Day 4 - Describe the best party experience you’ve had so far.
I actually don't do parties... But I did go to the "Neopolitan" party my music theory professor threw, where we ate ice cream and played Apples to Apples. It was a lot of fun.

Day 5 - Who is the best friend you’ve met at college? How did you meet and what sort of adventures have you had?
I actually have 2 best friends. Sarah and I were in the same advising group and I saw her at the Freshman BBQ at the house of our college's President. We started talking about Harry Potter and A Very Potter Musical, and the rest is history. I met Erin in the common room of our dorm. One night, we and a guy named Bryton stayed up all night playing mario kart and watching horror movies and from then on, we became besties. We've had all kinds of fun adventures. My favorite is the time we randomly 'stole' a pineapple from the cafeteria, climbed the geosphere, rode the lynx, and stuck the pineapple on the lynx's ears.

Day 6 - If you live in the dorms, tell us about your roommates/floormates.
I did live in the dorms. I had a so-so roommate experience. We got kinda stuck together when the people we were supposed to room with decided in July that they weren't going to Rhodes. We're totally different people. I was totally anti-sorority, and she was in the school's stereotypical party sorority. And while she definitely wasn't the worst partier, she definitely partied and there were a couple times our room smelled like vomit because she drank a bit too much. Overall, though, I was just glad that she had a boyfriend back at home and didn't bring any guys over. That's where I would've drawn my line. I'm really excited for next year because I'm living with Sarah and Erin in a triple, so it'll be a lot more fun.

Day 7 - What is your field of study? How did you come to this decision, and how many times have you changed your mind?
My major is a bridge major, which is basically a combination of two separate fields. I'm majoring in music and psychology. Originally, it was just going to be music, but then I got into a class called the psychology of music and it changed my life forever. I love it!

Day 8 - How many years have you been in college?  How many more years until you complete it?
I just finished my first year, so I have 3 more years of undergrad. Then it's on to get my masters/doctorate. I know in some cases, masters is not required before doctorate, and I'm hoping that this is the case.

Day 9 - Post a picture of your college.
I'll give you 3, because Rhodes is freaking gorgeous.
Buckman Hall

Aerial view of campus (small reference, the picture was taken from somewhere right above Buckman)

Barret Library and Kennedy Hall

Day 10 - What has been your favorite class to take, and what made it so fascinating?
Definitely Psychology of Music. I had the same professor (my favorite!) for that class and music theory, and I like music theory but I slept through it many mornings. But I made 100% sure that I was awake for Psychology of music, because it was always so interesting to sit in that class and listen to all of these really cool theories about how music affects the brain.

Day 11 - If your college has sports teams, which sport is the most respected? Have they ever won a championship?
First of all, we're like in the lowest division of college sports because we're a tiny school. But our girls' basketball team won something pretty big this year.. not sure what. The only reason I halfway knew anything about it was because my roommate was on the team and I would always look up when they would have away games so I'd know when I'd get some alone time.

Day 12 - Which clubs and teams are you a member of? Do you remember how you got involved with these clubs?
I'm in the Rhodes Orchestra. I really wanted to do quidditch (yes, you read that correctly) but I didn't have the time.

Day 13 - Is there anything that you imagined would happen in college, but now that you’re in college you realize that you were totally wrong?
I was a bit naive about how many people would drink and how much sex goes on. HOLY CRAP. STDs everywhere.

Day 14 - Which kinds of students are the most annoying to be in a class with?
There are many types... The sorority girls there on Daddy's money, the close-minded people who have to make their opinions heard constantly, and the kids who think they're smarter than everyone and comment constantly.

Day 15 - Share about the first boy/girl you’ve had a crush on since being in college. Where did you first see them? Where did you first talk to them? Did you date?
I haven't really had many "crushes" but there are certainly a couple guys who are really great eye candy. I can think of 2 or 3 upperclassmen guys who are really talented musically, and are also very attractive. My best friend and I do our whole middle school giggling routine and talk about them, but honestly, they're not guys I'd ever date. Most of them are nice guys though. There's one in particular who is our favorite eye candy, but we both agree that we'd never date him because of his personality. Not our type at all... honestly, personality-wise, none of them really are. They're just nice to look at.

Day 16 - What are your favorite things to do, when you aren’t in class or studying? (sports games, parties, etc.?)
This year, I got really close with the people in my dorm, and we had the best common room on campus, so we would always hang out in there.

Day 17 - Are you paying for college yourself? If so, are you using loans and scholarships?
My parents are paying, but yes, I do have a nice scholarship and a smaller loan. Otherwise I couldn't afford to go to Rhodes.

Day 18 - Show us a picture of your favorite place to hang out around campus.
Well, other than the common room, the best place to hang out is the Lair, one of 2 eating places on campus. My friends and I always like playing pool or ping pong in there.

Day 19 - What do you do during holiday breaks?
I go home and just chill. Except Easter break. I stay at school for that one.

Day 20 - What has been the toughest class you’ve taken so far? Are there any classes that you are not looking forward to?
I haven't taken any that were super hard. I guess the hardest was my first semester required Religious Studies course because it was almost entirely exam based. I'm not looking forward to my required science credit. At all.

Day 21 - Tell us about your favorite professor.
My music theory professor is the best :) She's totally nice and helpful and really friendly and fun to talk to. She's also my adviser. She had an end of semester party at her house this semester and it was totally fun and she has a yellow lab named Gracie who is just adorable :')

Day 22 - Tell us about your least favorite professor.
Well, since I've only had... eight professors (I've had 3 classes with my favorite professor, plus an orchestra professor, plus a private lesson teacher), the one I really disliked was the one who taught the class mentioned on #20. It was a bible course, so he had to realize that people would have opinions on it, and yet he was super condescending to any opinion that differed from his own and it was really rude and I didn't like him. I mean, when he talked about other things, he seemed friendly enough, but he was just really condescending about that.

Day 23 - Post a picture of yourself that encapsulates your college experience so far.
Me, and one of my best friends, Erin :)

Day 24 - Tell us about something interesting/funny that’s happened during class.
A lot of interesting things happened in my psychology of music class- like we listened to a couple seconds of a song and were asked if we could identify it. It was really fun and cool.

Day 25 - Which did you enjoy more: high school or college?
Definitely college. It's nice to have more freedom, and you make friends A LOT faster when you're around people 24/7.

Day 26 - What is something non-academic that you’ve learned at college?
That I really need to stop procrastinating!!!

Day 27 - Tell us about your worst experience from your college years.
Well, I've only been in college a year, but when I went to college, I'd been dating a guy for a year and a half, and he broke up with me three weeks into the semester and was dating another girl 2 weeks later.

Day 28 - Did any of your high school friends go to the same college as you? If not, do you still talk to your old high school friends?
No, they didn't. I still talk to some of my friends from high school. Only the ones I was really close with, as well as people from where I used to go to church in Texas.

Day 29 - Tell us about the most interesting person you have encountered at school or around campus.
Most interesting? Hmmmm... I'm not sure of the most interesting!

Day 30 - What are your favorite and least favorite things about college?
Favorite... Living in the dorms with my friends, and going to classes that I'm actually interested in. Least favorite... Dealing with people constantly partying and having to pay for things myself that my parents would normally pay for.
