Whodunnit? FINALE

Sorry this is a bit late. I didn't get to watch it Sunday night and since then, everything has been really crazy with move-in and such.

We get a little review of the season before the episode begins, as well as a recap of what happened at the end of last episode. They're in the limo, and suddenly turn around and head back to Rue Manor. Giles comes on the TV screen all tied up. He's hidden somewhere in the manor. Fog covers up everything and Melina disappears.

The tv then shows a creepy "dear mortals" message. It says welcome to last day,  and that the killer has vanished and two of them will die. It also says that when Sheri died, they got a three digit code. They have to remember or figure out that code. They go to the parlor, where the code was etched into the window sill, but it's no longer there. However, the killer set up different things with numbers (like the pool table has the 6,1, and 3 balls out, and the chess pieces are arranged to be 6,1, and 3. Kam figures it out first, and runs to where he saw some secret room, and Cris and Lindsey follow. They use the code to get into a secret room, and inside find all of the killer’s things. Kam called it an orgy of evidence, which I found kinda funny. They also find Melina on the floor with the Geno beads around her neck.

Kam starts questioning the two of them because he knows one is the killer. They start accusing each other and then we get little montages of each of their most shady moments. In Melina’s hand is a puzzle piece. The rhyme on it said to hang onto it.

They go back into the living room and find that their final challenge has been set up. There are 3 question mark shaped puzzles with video screens in front of them. The extra piece is Kam's advantage for winning last time. Giles pops up on the screen and talks to them. The killer voice comes on and says they had to dispose of Giles. They have to solve the puzzle as quickly as possible, and then they'll be told to go to a room which is basically going to serve as the finish line for the winner. Then, suddenly all of the dead people start coming down the stairs. Each of the dead people have puzzle pieces. They have to solve riddles at each station to get the pieces. They’re told where to go from the screen. The puzzles all have to do with how that person died. If they get it right, they get the correct piece. They get it wrong, they get the wrong piece. They don't know whether they got the right or wrong piece until they put all of their pieces in and then light up their puzzle. Any correct pieces turn white, incorrect stay black. Each riddle has to do with that person's death. For the final piece, they have to go up to the attic. Kam is the first to make it to this point.

In the attic, Kam finds Giles untied. He explains that the killer made him tie himself up. Giles says to go downstairs to the bar and get his contract. The contestants have to read the contract, bring him the last page, and tell Giles, based on the contract, whether or not Giles is the killer/ responsible for the murders. After a montage of everyone running around, Kam is the first to light his puzzle. He has only two incorrect pieces, so he runs back to the stations he got incorrect. Cris also ends up having 2 incorrect. Lindsey ends up with only one incorrect, but is very far behind the other two. Kam is the first to finish, and is told to go to a secret room upstairs. Cris finishes next and is told to go to the same room. Lindsey finishes last and is given a riddle which leads her to the room where they found Melina dead. When Kam gets to the room upstairs, he finds that it has tons of evidence. To me, it looks like the rooms you see in crime shows when a person gets overly obsessed with a case and keeps all the evidence they can find.

When Cris gets to the room, he talks to Cris about what's going on. He's confused, because from what he understood, this was the finish line. Then a TV comes on and they see Lindsey opening the door to the room downstairs. She walks in and then a wall swings around and she almost immediately gets shot in the throat with an arrow by a knight statue. Kam is shocked, and looks at Cris and accuses Cris of being the killer, to which she admits. She then tells him that he's the winner. Giles enters and gives Kam a pair of golden handcuffs to handcuff Cris. Then Giles hands Kam the money and takes him out to a limo and asks him where he wants to go. His response? HOME.

I must say, I wasn't completely surprised that Cris was the killer, but she certainly wasn't my first suspect. I was convinced it was either Lindsey or Melina. I was sure Kam wasn't the killer, and was hoping he would win, so I'm really glad he did win!

So, there we are, mortals! We've reached the end of the season, and have discovered Whodunnit! Do you think we'll get another season of Whodunnit? Do you WANT another season of Whodunnit? I know I do! Hope you enjoyed reading my Whodunnit reviews, because I know I'll really miss watching the show and being able to review it. Hopefully, I'll see you for another season, mortals!

Whodunnit? Episode 8: Frost Nixin

I don't even know what to think of this episode.

Click HERE to see all of my Whodunnit? reviews!

Honestly, I'm just ready to see the finale and figure out what on Earth is going on here. But let's jump into this confusing episode.

Once again we get a bit of a recap of all of their spa treatments, and I had to laugh at how annoyed one of the maids looked. Maybe the maid did it? Once again, we see Ronnie get blasted into the air and into the pool. There's a lot of what seems to be steam coming off of the pool.

Back inside, Giles reminds them that 2 more are scheduled to die, and one is the killer. He also says that this time, there are 4 areas to search: the crime scene (the hot tub/pool), last known whereabouts (the library), the morgue, and a mystery area. Only ONE person can enter the mystery area. This person also gets 3 minutes to look at one of the other areas as well. Giles says that they have to stab each other for it. Er... stab ice for it. They each have to stab a huge block of ice to get to a box in the middle of it. It seems like Melina is going to get it, when Kam splits his apart and pulls out the box, which I believe has the key to the secret area inside.

Kam chooses to go to the crime scene. Out of the 3 left, each has to choose a different location. Melina and Lindsey both want to go to the last known whereabouts and won't budge, causing a huge argument. Finally, because no one will choose, each girl is given an envelope. Lindsey receives the last known whereabouts, Melina get the morgue, and Cris gets the crime scene.

At the crime scene, Cris finds ice in the pool and the hot tub. Beside the hot tub is what appears to be frozen hot coffee. She thinks that there must have been a huge blast of cold, but can't really piece anything else together.

At the last known whereabouts, Lindsey finds some letters on the library desk. It seems lie Ronnie wrote a note to Giles about who the killer is but the names have been marked out. She also finds a tray with a tea pot, cream, and a bowl of a grainy white powder.

At the morgue, Melina finds Ronnie is very frozen. There is ice all over him, plus what appears to be burn marks. She finds a foamy powder in his mouth, as well as some blue discoloration. She thinks he must have been drinking something. She finds a thermometer and takes his temperature. She assumes he will be very cold, but he's actually 105 degrees! She thinks that whatever he drank made him pass out.

Kam's mystery area is in the attic, where the surveillance TV is still set up. This time it shows Ronnie in the library, and then in the hot tub. It appears that he falls asleep before being blown in the air. Kam then goes to the crime scene and finds.... nothing. He just complains about wishing he had chosen the morgue.

At this point, I'm kinda thinking that it's something with dry ice and salt. Because Melina found what appears to be burn marks, and if you've seen the salt and ice challenge on Youtube, you know that the combination of those, though very cold, will actually burn you.

After the investigation, the cool kids chat about needing the morgue information. We get a really interesting sequence where Melina seems to use her information she got at the morgue to piece together the other locations. She knows Ronnie likes to write notes, so she thinks that's what he was doing in the last known whereabouts. She thinks Cris must have found some sort of drink, because Ronnie appeared to have drank something. I'd also like to note that since she's my prime suspect, I think it's really odd that she just happens to be able to figure things out for herself now that she's on her own. Before, she depended on everyone, and now suddenly she's practically a genius? To me, it seems like the producers, knowing she's the killer, needed some way to make it seem like she had figured things out and could stay in the game, so they turned her into a genius. She then goes downstairs and basically tells everyone what was at their locations, and she's right. I also find it interesting that Kam was suspicious of her, but that the confrontation turned his suspicions away. I also thought it was interesting that Melina said this: "One of you might be the killer and two of you are fighting for your lives." Hmm.. One of you MIGHT be the killer? And two ARE fighting for your lives? If Melina isn't the killer, wouldn't she have said "One of you IS the killer, and two ARE fighting for your lives?" I just think it's odd that she said one might be the killer.Could just be bad wording.

Riddle time. Giles wants to do an experiment. The maids are holding containers of what appears to be liquid nitrogen. I'm sure most people probably wouldn't immediately draw that conclusion, but I've seen a lot of Top Chef in my time, as it's one of my favorite shows. If you've seen that show, you've probably heard of my favorite chef-testant, Richard Blais. He does crazy cool (no pun intended) dishes with liquid nitrogen and he uses a TON of that. So I have a pretty good grasp of what that looks like. I'm not sure why I didn't think of that before. Anyway, I digress. A LOT. Sorry.

Anyway, the maid poured the container into the podium, and it explodes, sending ping pong balls flying everywhere. The riddle said to follow the balls with clues and go where you're told on the chosen few. Melina is the first to discover that some say kitchen on them. She runs to the kitchen, where there are huge barrels of beans. The others soon follow. They have to dig in the barrels and pull out a container. Inside, Melina finds a word search. The directions are that you can't go somewhere until it's circled. Melina decides to circle multiple things and then go looking. Kam is the last to find the word search, and goes to the pool table, as the clue said something about angles. Melina finishes all the words and starts looking. Kam finally finds "pool equipment" at an awkward angle in the puzzle. He runs over there and finds liquid nitrogen hooked to the water tank for the hot tub. The bell goes ding and the riddle is over.

Kam now thinks that Lindsey is the killer. He also has a theory that Ronnie was poisoned with ryson, which is apparently a poison made from the same beans they dug through in the kitchen. As the three of them are discussing their theories, Melina eavesdrops from inside and gets a few snippets of information.

When they go and state their cases, the all seem to be pretty logical, although a couple seem to miss details. Lindsey accuses Cris. Kam accuses Lindsey. Melina accuses Cris. Cris accuses Lindsey.

At dinner, they find glass tombstones with their faces on them. Creepy and unnecessary, if you ask me!

Kam is declared as spared! Giles then explains the murder. In the library, Ronnie wrote a letter to Giles. claiming to know who killer is, but the killer was watching. Killer sent the maid to the library with a tray of tea. Knowing that Ronnie prefers powdered cream, the killer replaced actual cream with the poison ryson. The killer also left a book of toxins peeking out of shelf, which apparently, Lindsey missed. When Ronnie went into tub, the killer went to the desk and marked his/her name out on Ronnie's letter. Ronnie got into the hot tub and turned on the jets, triggering the liquid nitrogen timer. The ryson raised his temperature to 105, which is what killed him. The nitrogen then blew him out of hot tub.

Melina is the first to open her card and is scared. Lindsey follows and is also scared. Cris opens hers and is spared!

The next morning, Kam and Cris go downstairs to play pool. Melina walks in, and seems to be convinced that not seeing Lindsey is a good thing. But then Lindsey comes down. If I'm not mistaken, that's the same dress she wore to dinner. Odd. And she's also acting really odd, which is what caused me to think she was about to die. BUT, not so! Giles enters and tells them to go to a limo waiting outside. In the limo, they get boxes with champagne flutes inside. They're in the limo, enjoying their champagne, when all of a sudden, the limo whips around, nearly runs off the cliff, and heads straight back to Rue Manor. Immediately, all four are worried about Giles. They run inside and find a huge TV screen in the living room. It turns on and they see Giles tied up with guns pointing at him and what appear to be wires all over the place. They are told that the final task is going to be to solve the mystery of Giles' disappearance. Then, the room starts to fill with fog, and Melina goes missing.

In the promo for next week, the cool kids don't seem to believe that Melina is dead, which I definitely agree with. I'm with Kam- unless I see the body, she isn't dead! I'm also seeing what seems to be another And Then There Were None reference. While I'll admit, I'm not still standing behind my theory from last week about Ronnie and faking his death (though it IS entirely possible!), this is just one more reference that is too hard to ignore. In And Then There Were None, when only 4 people remain alive, one of the characters goes missing. The other 3 believe he is sneaking around and plotting to kill him, when really, the real killer has faked his own death and has killed the missing character as well. Since I'm realizing they aren't going to do anything the same as And Then There Were None, this gave me an idea. What if the missing person actually IS the killer? I don't know, and I'm still confused by the ending, but don't count Melina out just yet!

I'm actually really curious as to how this next episode is going to unfold. Here are my ideas:
1- Melina is actually dead, and the reason she "disappeared" is because the final mystery to solve is the disappearance of Giles, NOT the death of the most recent victim.
2- Melina is actually the killer, and has disappeared to make it look like she's dead.

All throughout the season, they've said that in the end, there will be a winner, a loser, and a killer. In my mind, I think we still have 4 people left, so someone has got to go! Unless, of course, Melina is actually dead. In which case, we're down to the final 3 already. I'm just confused. Am I only holding onto this theory because I think Melina is the killer?

And finally, my LAST killer suspicions!

Cris: At this point, I'm strongly in the "Cris is not the killer" camp. I believe that she and Kam are going to be the final 2 legitimate contestants and I'm crossing my fingers that she comes in a close second.

Kam: Again, I believe Kam is not the killer. Even though he was a bit of a jerk at some times, I'm hoping that he ends up winning the whole thing.

Lindsey: If Lindsey, Kam, and Cris really are the final 3, then I firmly believe that Lindsey is the killer. I've been suspicious of her all throughout the show.

Melina: As previously stated, Melina isn't dead until I see the body. So as far as I'm concerned, she's still in the running, and she's the killer. But if she's really dead, and isn't the killer, I've really enjoyed seeing her as a contestant, and think she seems like a really sweet girl

Ronnie: I still haven't completely given up on my theory from last week, although I do think it's extremely far-fetched. However, during the preview where all the dead contestants come out, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember seeing Ronnie. Maybe he's not actually dead. Maybe he's the killer.

So, there you go, mortals! What did you think of my latest Whodunnit? blog? I'm toying with posting times. Is this earlier time better? How excited are you for the finale next week?! Hopefully, I will be able to get my post out quickly. Next weekend is going to be CRAZY. I'm moving back into the dorms at my college, so I'll be leaving Thursday and moving in Saturday, so hopefully, my TV will be set up by Sunday evening. Crossing fingers! If not, I'll just watch online. Just my luck that the finale is move-in weekend. Leave me lots of comments, especially if you're loving my Whodunnit? reviews. See you next week, mortals!

Whodunnit? Episode 7: Party Crasher

Another one bites the dust!

The numbers are waning and waning and waning! Seriously, just look at all these people who used to be here! Remember when we were all just sitting here getting annoyed by Adrianna?!

We begin once again as the power goes out. We hear the chandelier fall and everyone starts screaming as they realize Geno is dead. They turn on a flashlight and Giles reads a note from the killer. They aren't going to go directly into solving this, because they have to go to their rooms for the night. They're told that this is going to be the most difficult murder yet.

In the morning, as always, they get to choose where they want to investigate.
Kam and Ronnie go to the crime scene, even though Ronnie originally was going to go with Lindsey to the last known whereabouts. They realized that the rope was lowered down, not cut. There is a huge spread of blood, as well as something that appears to be glow in the dark on the ground. Something that I thought was odd was that we see a close up of Ronnie’s shoes for some reason. It’s kinda odd considering that we had the shoe print last time and his feet don’t look very big, so they could've been stuffed like the killer's shoes were last episode. Kam looked all over the room for a trigger for the trap. Ronnie thought something was in the blood, so he kept looking at the blood. Behind a bust, Kam saw a timer plugged into a power outlet. It appears to have been set to short circuit and turn off lights. Kam manages to keep this from Ronnie, so all that Ronnie gets out of it is that the chandelier didn’t kill Geno.

Lindsey is the only one to go to the last known whereabouts. She finds a necklace with big black shells with green paint and key rings. There is a note pad with a note ripped off. She does the little pencil rub trick and finds that the last note written said "steal Giles’ cell phone and you will be spared". And that's really all she found in there.

Melina and Cris go to the morgue. There is a huge wound in Geno's neck and his chest on the belly button. In the stomach wound, there appears to be a bullet. What seems to be the wound from the chandelier is on Geno's back. Cris wants Melina to leave Ronnie to die. They open bags and find Giles’ cell phone in Geno’s pant pocket.

Melina and Ronnie talk and Melina isn’t sure about staying on his side, because she doesn't seem to totally trust him. All seems to be good on the team cool kid front.

Riddle time! They find Giles sunbathing by the pool. The gist of the riddle is that they'd be blind and have to find something to see in the dark, and something about twisting a knob to focus. And then they're blindfolded. They're led into a pitch black room and begin looking around. Ronnie finds night vision goggles and is able to see the riddle on the wall. It says to look for the light at the end of tunnel. Ronnie finds a tunnel and crawls into it, while the other 4 are still blindly wandering around the room completely clueless. The next clue talks about a cold bed and a lei, so Ronnie runs straight to the morgue and finds the lei beads. There are letters on the beads that are only visible under blacklight. He arranges the beads under the blacklight. The cool kids finally figure out how to get out of the room and go outside rather than the morgue. Melina finally gets out of the room and has the same mindset as Ronnie. She catches up to him, and they begin to try and figure it out. Unfortunately for them, the Cool Kids quickly catch up and actually figure the word puzzle out before Melina and Ronnie can. It leads them to monkey statues with clues below them. Kam is the one to find the solution. He opens a drawer and finds a suppressed 9 mm handgun and nightvision goggles.

After the riddle, Giles is still chillin' by the pool. They are given a hint. Giles asks them "How did Geno crash the party?" and says that the answer to that question needs to be worked into their accusations. Kam tells his group about the stuff in the drawer. They think that because he didn’t wear the necklace, the killer had to resort to “plan B” which is killing him with a gun. Melina goes over to talk to the Cool Kids, but is refused info.
And then, possibly the most ridiculous thing I've heard... possibly all season? "Is it possible he had a trained monkey?" NO, RONNIE, it is NOT possible that there is a trained monkey!!!

They begin stating their cases, and everything seems to be going alright, since Ronnie seems to have decided that there was a gun in the drawer, but then... RONNIE WHY ARE YOU SAYING MONKEY?! IT’S NOT A MONKEY! He legitimately just said that he thought it was a monkey. Seriously.

At dinner, they have more comfort foods than fancy foods, and Ronnie actually tells them that he thinks it’s a trained monkey. Kam doesn't believe him because it's just so crazy, and I don't blame him! More on this in a minute...Ronnie finally tells them that he’s a detective/ bounty hunter. He's a bounty hunter AND HE STILL SAID MONKEY.

And then Giles comes in and announces that Lindsey won. Not Kam? Really? I figured he would have to win.
The killer broke into Geno’s room, left him the necklace, and wrote him note to steal Giles' phone. (Also, I'm still not totally sure what Giles' phone had to do with anything?) He fell for it and stole the phone. Killer had already set blackout timer. The killer painted the crest with glow in the dark paint so it was visible in the dark, and they would know where the body would need to go to make it look like the chandelier killed him. Plan A was to strangle Geno, but he didn’t wear the lei to the luau. So, the killer had to improvise for plan B. Geno was shot with silencer, and then the killer released  the chandelier.

The spared/ scared cards are handed out and this time, it's only Ronnie and Melina who are scared.

And then, in my opinion, Giles delivered the game-changer. He said, "And then there were four." I'll explain why this made me freak out as soon as we get past the death.

So, the next morning, all 5 of them arrive to breakfast, and are told that they're going to be treated to a spa day, and everyone is telling Melina and Ronnie not to do it.
Melina gets a facial. Kam gets a royal massage. Lindsey gets a mani pedi. Ronnie gets the hot tub. Cris does yoga. The camera flashes back and forth between Melina and Ronnie, when suddenly, there's a huge boom and Ronnie is blasted out of the hot tub. He lands in the pool and the other contestants rush outside and find him.

OK, so back to Giles "And then there were four" comment. First off, I immediately knew that this was a reference to the book And Then There Were None. I've mentioned it before in my Whodunnit? blogs, and have compared it to this show quite a bit. For those of you who don't know, And Then There Were None is a classic mystery novel written in the 1930s by the "Queen of Mystery," Agatha Christie. The premise of the book is that 10 strangers are enticed to this island, believing that they are guests of the owners of the island and the huge mansion upon it. They then start dying one by one and realize that there is no owner, and that one of the guests is the killer. There's even a riddle! The only difference is that the riddle describes how they die one by one. Each stanza of the poem ends with "And then there were ____" and the blank gets filled in with whatever number of people are left. So, as I said, much like Whodunnit? because the killer is pretending to be one of them.
This is where I'm going to throw up a *SPOILER ALERT* for anyone who has not read the book, but does not want the ending ruined.
Basically, in the book, it gets down to five guests left. The "death poem," as I'll call it, mentions that the next death will be a red herring. The guy who dies in the pseudo 5th place in the book is actually the killer. He faked his own death so that he could throw suspicion off himself and be able to pull off the other murders easier. And that stanza ends with "And then there were four." So when Giles said that "And then there were four" line, I knew there was no way that was a coincidence. Now, it could just be a harmless little reference to And Then There Were None, since the two are obviously very similar. However, I find it extremely odd that Giles would choose to whip that one out just coincidentally on that specific death, rather than long before. And to add to my suspicion on this, Ronnie comes up with the most ridiculous theory about random monkeys on the episode he was eliminated on? Huh? Is it just me, or does it seem obvious that he totally made some really stupid statements and made up crap about monkeys JUST so that he could have this "red herring" death and pretend to be dead? I'm sorry, I may be reading into this way too much, but when Giles made that reference, that's immediately where my mind went. Of course, at that point, I was telling myself that the red herring death would be Melina, since I've thought she was the killer. Now, not so sure. I'll go straight into my opinions. Yay!

Cris: Once again, I don't think she's the killer. She definitely has the intelligence and the cunning to be the killer, but I think Lindsey and Melina are WAY better suspects.

Kam: I think that I've once again ruled him out as a suspect, but I almost feel like we can't rule anyone out.

Lindsey: I'm still suspicious of her. I did see something that was a great point: she's an engineer. And that rig with Don's death was definitely a pretty engineer-y thing to do.

Melina: If I'm going off of regular game rules, i still suspect Melina of being the killer. And finally, someone accused her! It took Geno dying to get Kam off his trail!

Ronnie: Until he got eliminated, I felt like I could trust him. Now, I'm not so sure. That shot with the feet- maybe that was to show us a small shoe size? And of course, the way he went out, with the And Then There Were None reference, and the crazy monkey theory... I don't know. But I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he showed up at the finale and they found out he was the killer.

So, there you go, mortals! What did you think of my latest Whodunnit? blog? Did you think the And Then There Were None reference was as important as I did, or am I way over-thinking things? Leave me lots of comments, especially if you're loving my Whodunnit? reviews. See you next week, mortals!

Whodunnit?: Episode 5: Bum Ba Dee Da

Well, there goes my killer theory!

First of all, yay, I got this out the day after the episode aired! I actually wrote most of it while watching and just left a bit of editing for during the post. Before I start, I just wonder... where would this show be without all of the RIDICULOUS puns?! Seriously, we have to expect at least 2-3 every episode! Anyway, let's get into the episode!

As we saw last week, all the contestants are horseback riding in the woods. Suddenly, a flock of birds appear and spook the horses. In the chaos, we see Ulysses slumped over on his horse, riding away from the group. He falls off his horse and both he and his horse fall into a ditch.

As always, the contestants get to choose the morgue, last known whereabouts (the horse barn), and crime scene to investigate. Since they're out in the woods, the morgue is a makeshift outside thing. While they decide where to go, Giles runs to go take a tinkle in the woods. And that's seriously how he said it. Tinkle. One thing that I thought was interesting was that Cris apparently grew up around horses, so she goes to the last known whereabouts.

Crime scene: Geno and Kam find a snake in the saddle bag. I know there are two types of snakes with this similar coloration. One is extremely poisonous, the other is harmless. I’m not sure which one this is. There is a trip wire connected to a bird cage. It seems like the horses were meant to trip the wire and release the birds to cause commotion.

Morgue: I find it really interesting Dana, Melina, Lindsey, who are my top suspects, all went here. There is a sign of poisonous and non-poisonous things: flowers, snakes, etc.- the snake we saw is under non-poisonous. And there is another one that is poisonous and similar. They see bite marks, and Dana sees one on the leg that she keeps a secret… Not sure why she thought this one was significant, but whatever.

Last known whereabouts: All horses except one are named after greek gods. The separate one is Oleander, which is also a flower. This flower was under the “poisonous” colemn that we just saw. These flowers are also coming through the window beside it. Ronnie finds something that appears to be that oleander flower that has been ground up.

During the lunchtime talk, Geno decides to come over and tries to get one of them to come over to the other side to make sure that the other two are scared. But no one goes. They all start talking about the flowers and snakes. Melina seems to be either purposely or accidentally misleading her team to think that the snake they found is poisonous, despite the fact that at least a couple of them knew the little rhyme about the snakes (red touches yellow, you’re a dead fellow. Red touching black, you’re OK, Jack)

The riddle has them running all over the place. The riddle talks about the sky and says to go the right way. They have 3 trails that they could follow-red going right, white pointing upward, and sky blue pointing left. Kam takes the blue trail, Lindsey goes straight up, and Geno goes right. What I thought was interesting is that based on the clue, any of them could be correct. The puzzle said to go the RIGHT way, the sky is UP, and the left arrow was SKY blue. As it turns out, the left sky blue arrow was the correct one. It led them to a platform with several puzzles with maps. They have to use several pieces to "connect the dots" to figure out which X on the map that they need to go to next. Kam figures this out fairly quickly, and Cris follows suit. This map leads them to a shack. Only one person can go inside at a time, for 2 minutes. Kam goes inside and finds that it's filled with snakes. One by one, contestants go in in an attempt to find the weapon inside. They put anything they guess is the weapon onto a stool, and if the bell dings, they know they've found it and the riddle is over. I'm not sure if contestants were forced to finish the puzzle, or if they were allowed to follow their "teammates," but soon EVERYONE was lined up to go in. On Cris's second time in, she sees an odd floorboard sticking up. She pulls it out and finds two bloodstained nails. She places it onto the stool and the bell dings.

They go back to figure out their stories. At this point, Melina has seemingly convinced her group that the snake in the saddle bag is the poisonous one. Cris shares all of her information with her group, so team cool kids seem to be in a good place. Sasha tries to talk to Cris. Cris was very fair in my opinion. Geno only gave partial info last time, so all Cris tells them is that the info they need is in the last known whereabouts. Ronnie talks to team cool kids, and gets the same info from Cris. It seems like he might join up, because he stays with the cool kids until the bell dings. I really hope he does. I want him and Kam to be in the finale with the killer!

Time to state the case! Seems like team cool kids are in a good place. Based on what I see, it seems like Dana and Geno will be scared, because they believe it was a snake.
They gather around the campfire to recieve their cards.
Cris is declared spared! This is how the murder was committed. The killer concocted the oleander poison, put nails in a board, and put on the oleander. The trip wire with birds caused a distraction, and the killer stabbed Ulysses with oleander, and he fell off the horse. The Scarlet king snake was placed in the left satchel, but the right leg had the bite mark, which should have made it obvious that it was not a bite mark.

Sasha gets a scared card and yells at Melina about it, because she convinced all of them that the snake was poisonous. Dana got a scared card… and so did Geno. 3 Scared cards! I’m starting to think that because there was a double murder in the book, we might be up for a double murder. But I’ll see in a few minutes. I think it’ll be Geno and Sasha… since I think Dana is the killer. Also, GENO IS CRYING. I never thought I would see that!

Fast forward to the next day. Some odd music plays throughout the house, and it's Geno who runs downstairs and discovers Dana and Sasha at the piano, looking like wax figures, but clearly dead! Well, I called the double murder and the death of Sasha! It should be interesting to see them try to solve two murders next week!

OK, suspicion time!

Cris: She's in my top 3 for suspects. I'm not totally sure I trust her, even though I'm rooting for her team.

Dana:Well, my main suspect has met her fate. I'm actually really surprised that she died, but since she isn't actually the killer, I'm surprised she wasn't offed a few weeks back! I still haven't let go of the "red herring" theory that she may not really be dead... in terms of the show. Since, of course, we all know she isn't actually dead.

Geno: I'm fairly sure he isn't the killer. But I don't want him tostick around for much longer, because he's smart and figures things out quickly.

Kam: I'm still sure that he isn't the killer. But I don't think he should trust his team. Hopefully, he sticks around for a long time!

Lindsey: In my top 2 suspects. She's never been scared, even when she's been fairly clueless. Not saying the killer can't get a scared card, but I still think it's suspicious.

Melina: Also in my top 2, because she seems so innocent. I think that her convincing her team that the snake was poisonous is really suspicious... but almost too suspicious. If she was the killer, I'm not sure they'd make her confusing them SO obvious. But she may be the killer! She's in my top suspects for sure!

Ronnie: My mom actually made me suspicious of him for the first time! She noticed that he was RIGHT next to Ulysses before the commotion. I don't think he was near him during the commotion, though. But I still trust him.

Sasha: I am so unbelievably happy that she's gone! I was certain she wasn't the killer, so I'm super happy that she died. She was so annoying and rude!

So, we've come to the end of my review! I can't wait until next week, as always. My way-too-early suspicion is that it has to do with an injection of formaldehyde... which should have some sort of smell to it. If Dana was still around, she would probably be able to figure that out, so we'll see how the other contestants will do without her medical knowledge! See you next week, mortals!

Whodunnit? Episode 4: Mountain Lyin

First of all, I apologize for getting this out on Wednesday even though the episode was on Sunday. I think this is the second week I've done this so, seriously, I'm sorry. Secondly, thanks for all the comments! I got on today to write this and my total comments had like tripled in number, so thanks a lot! I'll definitely be checking back more frequently now that I know that people are actually reading and enjoying my blogs!!!

This week, we actually get a bit more of a recap! We see everyone come down to breakfast, and then see Don and Dana realize that they are the only two with uncooked meat. Once again, Don goes into the kitchen, disregarding Ronnie's protesting. We then see him preparing his meal, and a mountain lion being released into the kitchen, seemingly tearing him to pieces. The guests all scream and follow Giles, who is wielding a tranquilizer gun, to the kitchen. The doors open, and the guests all scream. A lot of people give the contestants flack for freaking out even though they know these murders are fake, but honestly, what would you do if you saw a huge mountain lion in front of you?

They are informed that Don is dead (as if they couldn't figure that one out) and once again separate to go to their different areas. Kam is definitely at the point where he doesn't trust Lindsey, so he basically chaperoned her at the crime scene. This time, the contestants are told that there is a new area to search. Since the last known whereabouts would either be the dining room- where they were all eating- or the kitchen- which is the crime scene, there is now the option to search the mountain lion.

At the crime scene: They all notice that there isn't a ton of blood, which seems very odd. One thing that I was personally waiting for them to notice was the mat in front of the stove. In the pseudo-replay of Don's murder, it was clear to me that stepping on the mat was what opened the panel, but the contestants, of course, didn't get to see the replay. They did notice it pretty quickly, leading to one of the guys (I can't remember, was it Ronnie or Kam? I should go back and watch again) humorously pretending to be the mountain lion and hopping up onto the island and pretending to claw at Don. Ronnie also noticed that there seemed to be something inside the stove, like a trigger of some sort.

At the Mountain Lion: There didn't seem to be a ton of information here. There were really only 2 clues. First, the fact that the mountain lion had the tag showing that it had been shipped to the mansion, rather than just wandering there... which honestly seems pretty obvious anyway. Also, they found chunks of Don's meat, which in the end proved to be more significant than I first thought.

At the morgue: This seems to be the most significant place. They immediately notice that he has this pink coloration all over his skin, which they all seemed to be perplexed by. Even Dana. More on this later. They also notice that the Mountain Lion marks seem to be minimal, and definitely not enough to actually kill him. There's also a little bit of white powder.

Between the contestants analyzing the different areas and the riddle, the "non- cool kids" group (I really need a better name for these two groups, but it works) decides that it would be in their best interest for EVERYONE to team up against Lindsey and get her out of the game. From what we see, it appears that everyone agrees to this, but I'm not so sure about that later in the episode.

Riddle time! Contestants are given magnifying glasses and small pieces of papers with a clue leading them to the morgue. There is a tiny clue on the periodic table of elements, right across the two elements that compose cyanide. This leads them upstairs to a closet with clues on pieces of cloth. Geno discovers the clue in the library safe, showing the plans to rigging the stove to release cyanide. Right after he figures it out, Dana says that she figured out that it was cyanide, which explains both the white powder and the pink discoloration of the skin. I can't remember if this was mentioned in the episode, but this also explains the lack of lost blood, because if the cyanide killed him, he was dead before the mountain lion swiped at him, which would lead to less blood loss. (I've seen my fair share of Forensic Files...). Here's what I'm suspicious of. Dana was IN the morgue. She saw the body and the discoloration and the powder. And she mentioned something about her dad working with cyanide or something... but she didn't put ANYTHING together until after Geno solved the puzzle? Forget the dad stuff, Dana is a nurse! She should know what that kind of reaction looks like on skin, and clearly she knew all the stuff about what cyanide does to skin. So why did it take half a day? She should have recognized that immediately. Either she's trying to confuse people, or she's a really slow nurse.

CORRECTION: Oops, just realized that Dana was at the crime scene and not the morgue, BUT her group did talk extensively about poison and the pink discoloration, so she still should've figured it out long before the end of the challenge.

Meanwhile, everyone is accusing different people of solving the riddle. Everyone seems to think it was Lindsey, but it clearly wasn't. Geno pulls some people aside and tells them the truth. He then decides to give Kam and Cris the information in hopes of getting Ulysses and Lindsey scared cards. I'm not sure this was the smartest idea. If you're going to only share information with Kam and someone else on his team, that other person better be Ulysses! Kam and Ulysses have been tight since the beginning. You're not going to turn them against each other. Poor Ulysses had such a confused look on his face when he came into the room with Cris, Kam and Geno. Of course, immediately after, Kam tells his entire group what he had been told, even though I'm pretty sure Geno didn't tell them everything, and Kam only said "there was something in the stove". Either way, he tells Lindsey about everyone plotting against her and says that he's not going to keep anything from her. Then, everyone gets ready and goes to their accusation room.

Time for dinner! Giles comes in and tells the contestants that Dana is the one who did the best. We pretty much know exactly what happened at this point, but here we go anyway. The stove was rigged to release cyanide when turned on. This killed Don. However, stepping on the pad in front of the stove also released a mountain lion, which swiped at him a couple times before eating his meat.

It's time for the rest of the contestants to discover their fate. Kam and Ulysses are the ones who are scared. Then, Giles gets this really odd call from the killer. He answers and puts it on speakerphone, and we hear each of the "contestants" one by one admitting to being the killer. I'm not sure what to make of this. It's just odd. All of the contestants say that they didn't say it, but either they're just doing that for the tv audience, or it's just a mashed up collection of words they said. I'm betting on the latter.

The next morning comes, and everyone is riding on horses. Kam and Ulysses are both alive.. but not for long. Ulysses' horse heads off some random direction, and although we don't know what happens, it's clear that he's dead. Also, it looked like there was something actually wrong with HIM before the horse even went off into the... was it a ditch? I'm not sure, but I guess we'll figure it out next week.

OK, suspicions time! As Iziezi said in the comments, "Giles" didn't know who the killer was throughout the show, and he was surprised. That's going to factor into my suspicions. I'm also at the point where I THINK i have one main suspect, but I do still have some lingering smaller suspects. Keep in mind, though, I watched The Mole (YEARS late, I might add) without reading up on who The Mole was, and on BOTH seasons that I watched, the person that I thought was The Mole was actually the person who won. Oops.

Cris: She's mostly flying under the radar right now. Sure, she's team cool kids, but everyone has been hating everyone else on her team, and not really her. I think she would surprise Giles if she was the killer. I'm a bit suspicious.

Dana: Dana is my main suspect. However, given the fact that she seems to be blatantly oblivious all the time, I'm not sure that's what the killer would do. And with that, I'm not sure how much Giles would be surprised by her being the killer, even though not many have accused her.

Geno: I don't think he's the killer, just because he seems so suspicious to everyone. But I don't really like him, and I'm ready for him to go. I think he's going to stick around for a while though.

Kam: I've eliminated him from suspicion. Giles wouldn't be surprised if Kam was the killer! He was the most accused! And editing accuses him! No way.

Lindsey: Still one of my main suspects. She seems so innocent and flies under the radar, and even though everyone's mad at her, NO ONE suspects her. And yet, she's gotten by with almost no information, and last week, she won even though she didn't have every single piece of evidence that Geno and Ronnie had.
Melina:  I think that anyone would be surprised if Melina was the killer. And she's totally flying under the radar. Who would suspect her? Uh... ME! I like her, and I personally don't think she's the killer, but seriously, she seems like the absolute least likely choice.

Ronnie: Fully trust Ronnie. And I love him to bits. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm rooting for a Ronnie/Kam/Killer finale.

Sasha: I would be surprised if she's the killer. That being said, if she's not the killer, she needs to GO. I'm getting really tired of her terrible personality and attitude. She's so rude. Just go. Pretty please.

Ulysses: Well, another of my favorites bites the dust. SUPER sad to see him go. I kinda wanted a Kam/Ulysses/ Killer finale, but oh well. Poor Ulysses!

Well, that's the end of my review. What did you think of my suspicions? Am I on track or totally confused? See you next week, mortals!

Whodunnit? Episode 3: Kaboom

First off, sorry about how late this is. I was travelling and didn't have internet, or the ability to watch this more than once. So finally, here it is!

We start off where we left off, with Adrianna being killed in the explosion. Everyone seems excited that Adrianna is the one who is killed, and not Dana. Before splitting up to go to the different places, I can already see cracks in the “cool kids” group. Lindsey seems to think that Kam is being bossy.

At the crime scene: There is a huge sunburst of an explosion around the cart. There is a tree branch across the road, forcing Adrianna to go into the grass. They see a cut on the plastic of the seat. Ronnie sees a video camera, as the other two try to figure if the bomb was on the cart. Ronnie finds that the camera seems to be messed with/ broken.

At the last known whereabouts: there's a broken bowl of cereal, and the TV on. Suddenly we see Adrianna on the screen as if on a surveillance video, and then it flickers to a screen that says "drive off the property if you want to live". There are footprints on some doors. They try all the doors and realized that they are all locked, forcing Adrianna out the outside doors.

At the morgue: They don't get a ton of info. Don thinks that it was a big charge, because she's high in the tree. She's holding something like a remote, but they can't quite tell the purpose of it. Her face and hands are not burnt, but her legs are, meaning that the bomb was probably at her feet.

Ronnie and the non- cool kids form an alliance, while the cool kids discuss the details of the different areas that they went to. Ulysses mentions the fact that the game has changed a bit. Melina is told to be buddy buddy with Lindsey so that Kam and Ulysses won’t trust her. Melina, Lindsey, and Ronnie seem to have some sort of alliance. Geno points out that people that Kam and Ulysses have had pacts with are now dead. Too many crazy alliances and complications!

Riddle time! Giles says that the killer has left them an important message… a BOMB. The bomb fizzles out and is full of golf balls. They each get a golf ball that says 13 steps. There are monitors left on tables all over the house. Sasha realizes that if Adrianna ran outside, she would have to go down some steps. Sasha runs down the steps outside and finds a golf cart and a clue, that says that the click of a button killed Adrianna. The clue causes them to find a trash can full of video tapes. Everyone runs to grab a ton of them to play them. Ronnie, thinking about how the previous clue says not to "get played", looks for other ways that the tape could be a clue. He opens the top flap and finds a clue inside the tape about hot air rising. Dana is still guarding the TVs in the dining room, thinking they're important. Ronnie suddenly runs to the attic. As soon as he gets through the door, the bell dings, signalling that someone has found the solution. Ronnie is the ONLY one allowed to see the full solution to the riddle, meaning he can share it however he pleases. He sits down and watches the tv. He is told to press the bomb button, and watches as the golf cart blows up. I'm not sure this really gives us that much information. We already knew she was blown up. I guess the only thing that this shows us is that the clicker was not connected to the bomb in any way.

Ronnie and Geno go off by themselves to try to put the clues together, and all the other people are very stressed out. There’s a whole back and forth with Lindsey and what group she’s in, before they accuse people. When they sit down to dinner, and Ronnie tells them all about the video. He says that he saw her die, but what we saw on the screen was just a golf cart sitting and then getting blown up. So was there something else on the video that we didn’t see?

Giles comes in and tells the contestants that Lindsey has blown the killer away. Now everyone is gonna hate her for playing both sides. Lindsey is also given a note about her laugh. Suspicious?
Killer placed all the items necessary to go through with the murder. Adrianna watched TV in the breakfast room. The TV switched to footage of her and then a note to run if she wanted to live. She ran outside down the stairs to the golf cart, where the bomb was left. She drove around the branch, and stopped and tried to use the clicker to leave, but the killer was watching and blew her up.

It's time for the rest of the contestants to discover their fate. Tonight, Dana and Don are scared. The contestants are told that they are going to have a fancy breakfast in the morning, and no one is excited, and half of them are curious how to dress.

The next morning comes, and everyone except for Dana and Don sit down to eat. Dana comes in and everyone notes that she looks different, which I noted as well. At this point, I was actually curious if that little note was actually something key about her impending death. Suddenly, Don walks in as well, stunning all of the guests. They go to eat their food, but Don and Dana both have raw steaks. Giles offers them the opportunity to go and heat up their food. Dana says she'll share with Ulysses, but Don says he'll go, even though everyone shouts at him not to. As he's in the kitchen, we see a panther released into the kitchen, seemingly slashing him apart.

OK, suspicions time!

Cris: She's mostly flying under the radar right now. Sure, she's team cool kids, but whenever someone hates on the cool kids, it's Ulysses and Kam. And even though she's flying under the radar, people have suspected her. Suspicious!

Dana: She seems to just always be barking up the wrong tree and then somehow survives. It makes NO sense. And the fact that she survived instead of Don just makes me even MORE suspicious.

Don: I'm really sad to see him go. I like him way more than Dana, but at this point, I suspect Dana pretty strongly, so I guess it makes sense that he was the one to go.

Geno: I still don't trust him. Ronnie had all the info, he put it together with Geno, and yet he didn't win. Uh... what? And it seems like Ronnie and Geno are working together quite a bit. Hmmmm...

Kam: I still really like Kam. And I really hope he isn't the killer. I'm pretty sure that if he were the killer, he wouldn't go all out making people hate him.

Lindsey: Honestly, she's one of my main suspects. I just don't trust her. She seems fake, and how insanely coincidental is it that on the episode where the whole drama has been about what side she's on... Lindsey wins? Way too coincidental to be a coincidence, if you ask me.
Melina:  As I said last week... She still seems like a really genuine and trustworthy person... kinda. She seems to get emotional about EVERYTHING. She cries constantly. I think that seems really suspicious. If she's the killer, she's doing a great "naive" act, but I'm just not sure if it's real yet.

Ronnie: I still think that he's the least likely to be the killer. I fully trust him, and I think he's going to do well. He's one of my favorites.

Sasha: I still don't like her. I'm not sure if she's the killer or not, but if she's not, I want her to be dead ASAP.

Ulysses: I still think that I can trust him. He and Kam are my favorites, and I don't think he's the killer. So far, I'm hoping that he continues to do well.

OK, now for something that I was insanely curious about when I finished the episode... Did they leave the murder up to chance? Or was it always going to be Don? Because I feel like there are only 2 possibilities in this situation. #1- Don was told that he was going to die, and was instructed to take Giles' suggestion. #2- the murder was all planned out, but whoever decided to go heat up their food was the one who got killed. I don't think they'd leave it up to chance like that, but it seemed like an intriguing idea.

Well, that's the end of my review. I'm really excited about next week and can't wait til then. See you next week, mortals!

Whodunnit? Episode 2: Fire Starter

Welcome to episode 2, mortals! In my excitement about this show, I watched season 1 of The Mole this week. For those of you who don't know what The Mole is, I'll explain a bit about it before diving into Dontae's Inferno. It's a lot like Whodunnit? in the fact that among the contestants is a traitor. In The Mole, the contestants compete to win money for the group, which one person will win at the end of the competition. Among these contestants is "The Mole", a person paid by the show to secretly sabotage the group and keep them from winning money. At the end of each episode, the contestants would take a test where they were asked questions about who The Mole is. The person who did the worst on the test would be eliminated. I'd been told that it's a lot like Whodunnit? and in most cases, I agree. But at the end I'll talk about some comparisons and why the format for The Mole is a bit better, in my opinion.
For now, I'll walk you through the show a bit. I will caution you with a *SPOILER ALERT* because I'm about to talk about the deaths. So if you haven't seen the show and don't want to know who dies, stop reading.

We start off where we ended last episode, with everyone being awakened by the alarm, and Dontae running out of the house on fire and plunging into the pool. Everyone is very visibly shaken, and I really can't fault them for that. Clearly, they know he isn't actually going to die, but seeing someone fully on fire can leave a person extremely shaken. They gather in the foyer and Giles announces that Dontae is dead. He then says that they are all in this together and shows the contestants that he is wearing an ankle monitor, implying that he cannot leave the house. It bothers me that this was mostly skimmed over. We don't know why he has that or how he got it. He just can't leave the house. I almost feel like this is also important for later in the episode.

The contestants again are allowed to search one area: The crime scene, the last known whereabouts, and the morgue. I'm not sure how accurate this is, since the scene of the crime and the last known whereabouts are really BOTH his bedroom, but I'm not going to complain, since both places seem to have important clues. We first get to see the last known whereabouts. They discover a burst of soot around the door, and they see that Dontae was given a jewelry box, with a note about a necklace and Saint Agatha's protection. The necklace is nowhere to be found, and they assume it will be discovered at the crime scene. They think the lamp might have started the fire, and notice that the rug is untouched. I feel like I'm already a bit ahead of the contestants, because I think that it's obvious that he caught on fire upon touching the doorknob. That's where the burst came from!

At the scene of the crime, they fish out some socks and notice that he was wearing different socks, and that they aren't extremely burnt, indicating that the fire started higher in the body. They then find a chain with a medallion that seems to match the Saint Agatha box. They also find plaid material, which they assume to be from pajamas, which once again, are different from the pajamas they're wearing. Adrianna sees some lock gone from the door and seems to think it's significant, just as she did last week with the trunk corner, which turned out to be irrelevant.

Down in the morgue, Don says to look for the place where the fire started, which will be the hottest, most burnt part of the body. The two places they immediately see are the right arm, and a spot on the chest. Their first assumption is that it started in his torso, and he tried to protect himself with his arm. I completely disagree, because his arm looks even more charred to a crisp. I'm sure it had to start there when he touched the doorknob. They then notice that he's wearing plaid pajamas, which are totally different from the "estate pajamas" that the living are all wearing. The night before, at dinner, Giles had mentioned that they should all wear the estate pajamas for the pajama brunch in the morning. Clearly, Dontae assumed that these were the correct pajamas. Everyone begins to realize that there must be something important about these pajamas and that they were meant for Dontae, and only Dontae. There must be something on them that helped to trigger the fire.

Time for the pajama brunch, and the sharing of information! Everyone huddles with the people who were with them at the different locations, and they decide what information to share, and what information to keep to themselves. The people at the last known whereabouts decide to give people the wrong name in hopes of figuring out if someone at the scene of the crime or morgue finds the necklace. The crime scene people decide to not tell people about the chain, because they think it's significant. Kam decides that Lindsey needs to be the third in his and Ulysses' alliance, and Ulysses seems a touch hesitant, but trusts Kam. Lindsey seems ok with this, because she's failed to get accurate information so far. Melina talks to some people about Saint Augustine, and immediately Sasha knows that something is going on, because the medallion said Saint Agatha. Adrianna is doing a terrible job of keeping the necklace a secret, because when Ronnie mentions it, he can tell that she knows about the necklace. Melina decides to tell Sasha about the necklace, and tells her the correct name... but apparently cannot pronounce Agatha. Geno can't even remember the correct name and accidentally told Ulysses the correct name while talking to him.

Time for another riddle! And another bad pun (Giles had to flag the contestants down... with the huge flag.) Each contestant gets a small flag, and have to solve the riddle on the back of the big flag. They are told to find fire in liquid form, and are told to look above the cycle and that dragging their feet could be the death of them. Ronnie goes to the barbecue and starts looking for liquid fire, since the biCYCLES are next to them. Makes sense... but isn't correct. Adrianna searches fireplaces. She and Lindsey try to see if turning on the fire does anything. Melina looks for the laundry room because they have cycles. Melina finds a bottle of benzene above the washer (highly flamable, makes sense) and it has a message on it saying to spray it on her flag and "find the same". It also says it is time to drag their feet, because those who die cannot compete. when she, Kam, Cris, Dana, and Ulysses spray their flags, a pink stripe appears on the back. Lindsey and Adrianna are still trying to light a fire, and Don and Ronnie are still barking up the wrong tree as well. Cris and Kam realize that they need to be looking for the crest with a pink stripe in the middle. Kam knows he's seen it somewhere upstairs. He finds it on a door, and when he tries to open it, he gets a nasty shock, and the crest catches on fire. Kam, Ulysses, and Cris are the only ones to be there to get the full story. The three of them join with Lindsey. Kam wants Cris to be part of them, because she seems to be a good ally.

While the four of them are talking, multiple people try to talk to them. First, Sasha goes over, trying to talk to Kam. He asks for her to give him a second, but she is persistent and takes forever to actually leave. Dana is convinced that Ulysses will tell her, because of a pact they made in the first episode while down in the morgue. Next, Adrianna barges over, saying she wants to be included, and Kam has to be the bad guy and be rude until she leaves. Dana and Sasha seem to think that their method of breaking up the group is a good one and that they need to keep trying to talk to everyone, but Melina thinks this isn't a good idea. Even when Melina tries to talk to Ronnie, Dana barges in frantically. She then goes outside and yells across the yard at Ulysses, who once again asks for her to wait for a minute. In the end, she never gets information from Ulysses. I hope this shows her that she can't just depend on other people to succeed in this show.

Geno and Ronnie seem to be using their brains (rather than other people) to figure out what is going on. They seem completely sure that they have the correct story, and I have to agree with them, as well as commend them for trying to figure out the evidence that they have rather than trying to get other people to talk to them over and over. I mean, if insanity simply doing the same thing multiple times and expecting different results, then we have some crazies in this house!

It's now time for them to state their cases. Kris, Adrianna, Ulysses, Kam, and Geno are all accused. They seem to all have the general gist of this one, because it is, in my opinion, a lot easier to figure out than the one last week. It's in the details this time, so they really have to have their details straight to figure this one out. At dinner, there's a pretty big argument, and I may get some flack for this, I'm really on Kam and Ulysses' side. The others were being really obnoxious, and they kept interrupting a conversation that clearly was intended to be private. And they never took the hint that they weren't going to get any information from Kam and Ulysses. So it's really their own fault. They had Ronnie and Geno at their disposal, who figured it out on their own, and the others could have done the same.

Giles comes in and announces that Ulysses is ON FIRE, and has correctly solved the murder. He then tells them how the crime was committed. The murderer left Dontae benzene soaked pajamas and socks, as well as the necklace that was supposed to protect him. Dontae found all of these, put them on, and went to sleep. The murderer set off the fire alarm, and Dontae jumped out of bed, gathered up static electricity by running across the shag rug, and what normally would've been a static shock turned into a blazing fire. He ran downstairs and dove into the pool, and his socks and necklace fell off.

It seems like the only point to the necklace was to confuse the contestants, and it did for a bit, because the people in the morgue initially thought that the fire started in the torso, when really the fire just heated the necklace up, causing Dontae to be more severely burned there. The same seems to go for the pajamas- Dontae could've easily been wearing the same pajamas and socks, which had been soaked in benzene, but different ones were used, clearly so that the contestants would notice something was different about them. Or you could make the argument that the killer just didn't want to mix them up with anyone else's.

The contestants receive their spared/scared cards. Dana gets the first scared card, and she starts crying. She says that she's used to being successful at everything, and it's hard for her to fail. I'm sorry, but I hate when people have this attitude. You can't be good at everything in life, and you can't just break down when you fail at something, and you CAN'T just expect that you're going to be everything. No high horse here, please! And I can tell that Ulysses does seem genuinely sorry for Dana, because he knows he could have helped her. Adrianna gets the second scared card, and everyone else is spared. Dana is convinced that Adrianna is the killer, and is therefore convinced that it's her. Adrianna seems resigned to whatever fate comes for her.

Time skips forward to 7:13 AM. *SPOILER ALERT* We see Adrianna drop some cereal and run out a door. She runs across the lawn to a golf cart, and speeds away, looking behind her as if someone is chasing her. The cart stops and suddenly there is a huge explosion, and Adrianna blasts into the air. In the promo for next week, it is confirmed that she is dead, and the contestants all run out upon seeing/hearing the explosion. It seems that the killer has left them a message in the form of a bomb. It seems like more strategy is coming into play, and that it's a bit of an "us" and "them" mentality with Kam, Ulysses, Lindsey, and Cris vs. Sasha and Dana, and maybe even Melina and the others. It also seems as though there is a discovery in a room, as we see Giles entering a room with a gun and pointing it at something. So it seems like we're in for an interesting and dramatic. Also, in a commercial that I literally just saw a minute ago, it looks like some sort of panther was set loose in the house, so that must be what Giles was pointing a gun at.

Okay, time for me to give you a bit of an update on what I think about each person! One thing I've noticed is that I'm A LOT more suspicious of the women than the men. So I definitely suspect all of the women more than pretty much ANY of the men.

Adrianna: I had decided that she probably wasn't the killer even before she got killed, but I REALLY wanted her to be the killer, because she's really the only one that I don't like at all.

Cris: I'm fairly suspicious of her. She doesn't seem to have the personality that would accompany a beauty queen. And she seems to be really flying under the radar. Those are really the only reasons I'm suspicious of her, though.

Dana: She wasted A LOT of time during the time between the riddle and the accusations. They could've been trying to figure something out, but instead, she insisted she would get information. I don't trust her at all.

Don: I still haven't seen any reason to not trust him. I think he seems like a genuine guy. And the poor guy keeps having to get important information from other people.

Geno: I still don't trust him. I appreciate that he and Ronnie figured it out on their own, but he seems to be keeping to himself so much and that just doesn't work in this game... unless you're the killer!

Kam: Kam is one of my favorites. I think I trust him more than I did before. I'm still a little suspicious of him, but I don't think he's the killer.

Lindsey: I'm still very suspicious of her. She and Dontae didn't see the last clue last week. He died, yet she was spared?! I'm not sure it was a good idea for Ulysses and Kam to bring her into their alliance.
Melina: She still seems like a really genuine and trustworthy person...

Sasha: Last episode, I liked her, but the more I see of her, the less I like her. She had such an attitude when trying to get Kam to talk to her. She's just getting on my nerves, and I'm not sure I trust her.

Ulysses: I still think that I can trust him. He and Kam are my favorites, and I don't think he's the killer. So far, I'm hoping that he continues to do well.

OK, now for the show comparisons. There's one key factor where I think The Mole was better as far as formatting. In The Mole, the contestants' key important role was to figure out who The Mole is, and if they did a poor job at that, then they got eliminated. On Whodunnit? it seems like figuring out the killer is the LEAST of their concerns. Figuring out the murder is most important. And I'm not sure how good that is, as far as formatting. I mean, how are you going to know who to trust if you're not really trying to figure out who the murderer is?! At this point, it almost seems like NONE of them are the killer, because everyone seems to be focused almost entirely on discovering how the murder was committed, rather than... wait for it... Whodunnit?! I'm not sure that's a great way to go about things.

I also discovered, through listening to a podcast (Rob Has A Podcast, for anyone who wants to check it out. I'd highly recommend it. I enjoy listening to them discuss the show, and I get more info, as well.) that there is a component much like The Mole, which we don't actually see. The contestants take a test about the murderer, the crime, etc. separate from their accusations that we see on video. I think this is a very good thing, because when people describe things, you can't really concretely say that one person was the absolute least accurate, because everyone is going to say too much or too little in different areas. And who's to say whether saying something incorrect is worse than leaving a detail out? The test is much more concrete and can be definitively scored to give a clear death. So, that's an important component that we just don't see.

Another thing I heard on the podcast that I found really interesting was that in the middle of the night, when Dontae was killed, Dana and Sasha both had red ribbons in their hair, and the same ribbon was on the pajamas that Dontae received. Now, they all might have had those same ribbons on their pajamas as well, and had the same idea about tying their hair with the ribbon, but it seems suspicious. Is it possible that the killer has an accomplice? Like it's Sasha and Dana is her accomplice? Or it's Dana and Sasha is her accomplice? That might make sense. If a killer takes a liking to someone, would it be that ridiculous for them to feed information to that person so that they succeed?

Well, that's the end of my review. I'm really excited about next week and can't wait til then. See you next week, mortals!
