30 Day Harry Potter Challenge

It's been longer than usual since I've posted, so I figured I should probably post a challenge! I LOVE Harry Potter, as you'll see as I begin answering these questions. Also, I found 2 of these challenges, and the second one is actually labelled 2. I'm not sure yet if they overlap, but that'll be my next challenge after this one. Enjoy!

In case you're unfamiliar with the acronyms for the books/movies, here's a quick guide... I'll probably use the real titles multiple times, but I'll definitely shorten some.
Book 1- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Shortened to SS.
Book 2- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Shortened to COS.
Book 3- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Shortened to POA.
Book 4- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Shortened to GOF.
Book 5- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Shortened to OTTP.
Book 6- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Shortened to HBP.
Book 7- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Shortened to DH. for movies, I'll add pt.1/pt.2

1) Your favorite of the books
My favorite for the longest time, even after the release of the Deathly Hallows, was the Half-Blood Prince. DH is currently my favorite, followed by HBP and Prisoner of Azkaban.
2) Your favorite of the movies
The movies, for me, are a bit harder to decide. I would definitely say that the POA movie was really good and stuck really close to the book. That and DH pt.2 are probably my favorites of the bunch.
3) Which, if any of the films have made you angry by ignoring important parts of the book?
All of them. I'll take each one by one.
SS- All the things I loved about the first book (mostly the funny moments), such as Weasley twin antics, Lee Jordan's quidditch commentary, Ron screaming at Hermione "ARE YOU A WITCH OR NOT?!" and of course, the potion room!!!
COS- Not as many complaints, but Peeves definitely made this one more interesting. But they cut him from ALL the movies.
POA- As much as I love this movie, I really wish it had started with Ron yelling at Mr. Dursley on the phone. It would've been awesome.
GOF- WINKY. DOBBY. Also, they left out the crucial part about Harry giving the twins his tournament winnings. They couldn't have opened their store otherwise!
OOTP- I wanted to see the part where Harry and the twins get banned from ever playing quidditch again. And the whole Weasley is our King thing. That got mostly cut.
HBP- DOBBY. Also, Bill and Fleur's relationship wasn't mentioned at all. And the way that the Ginny/Harry relationship was portrayed... no.
DH 1- I was honestly worried they were going to cut out the "holey" joke but they didn't! I think the only thing that annoyed me was Wormtail's death. It was kinda ambiguous and almost looked like he got knocked out, rather than his hand betraying him for saving Harry.
DH 2- The whole elder wand thing made me mad. They changed it from how it was in the book. Not ok. I did really love Neville professing his love to Luna though. Awesome stuff.
4) Least favorite female character and why
There are many female characters I dislike. Umbridge is definitely my least favorite by far. I also dislike Rita Skeeter and Lavender Brown. However, of the main characters, I have to say I'm not a fan of Ginny. She seems to serve no purpose other than to marry Harry and make the golden trio relatives in the future. It's not necessarily her character that I dislike (though there are some things about her that bother me) but it just seems her role is really one dimentional. And her character is pretty one dimentional in the movies. She's much more interesting in the books.
5) Favorite male character and why
The Weasley twins, for sure. They keep me entertained much more than the other characters. I absolutely love them. I also really love Ron.
6) What house would you want to be in?
This is possibly my favorite question. I like to consider myself to be a Slytherclaw. I'm very much a combination of the two. I decided to leave it up to Pottermore, and I came back a Hatstall. So I'm no closer to figuring anything out. If forced to choose, though, I would choose Ravenclaw every time, so that's where I would be at Hogwarts.
7) Favorite female character and why
Definitely Hermione. She has always been my favorite character alongside the twins and Ron. She's definitely what I was when I was younger. Now, I'm a bit of a combination between her and Luna. But Hermione has always been my favorite girl.
8) What do you think would be your favorite subject at Hogwarts?
I've played a lot of games of different classes, and I always seem to love potions more than anything else. Especially on the HBP PS2 game. I made potions on there for HOURS. I think it would be really cool to be in an actual potions class.
9) Least favorite male character and why
Gilderoy Lockhart. He's exactly the type of person I despise. I would also could Lucius Malfoy and Wormtail in this too.
10) Pick one: horcruxes or hallows.
It definitely depends on the situation. For example, in the book when Harry is trying to figure out whether to get information on the horcruxes or hallows first, I was totally pulling for horcruxes, because at that point, those were clearly the more important topic. However, in the case of favorites, I would definitely choose the hallows. They're really interesting and cool and I want an invisibility cloak. Horcruxes are just... terrible.
11) The character you relate to the most
I've often said that I'm a combination of Hermione and Luna, with the Weasley twins and Ron thrown in (which is probably why they're my favorites). I find that the non-annoying parts to Ginny's personality are a lot like me, but I can't bring myself to compare myself to her because of how much I hate her actual role in the series.
12) Your favorite pairing
Romione (Ron+Hermione) is my OTP, for sure. I think they're perfect. My non-canon ship is Nuna (Neville+Luna). I really hate that this didn't happen. My totally unrealistic ones that I would only ship if Ron died are Dramione (Draco+Hermione) and Fremione (Fred+Hermione). If you want to get into AVPM, I'm a huge Quirrelmort shipper. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you're missing out on a great musical.
13) Least favorite of the movies.
As close as it stuck to the book, the first movie was the most disappointing for me, mostly because all the things that made me love the first book were left out (see the rant on #3). Harry was also really annoying because he was WAY too polite and always started his questions the same way. He would say "excuse me" before saying like ANYTHING. Actually... I think a lot of the kids did this. Lame script. I also didn't like the fact that the locations were different (not sure if they changed before or afte #2, but it was definitely different by 3). And I much preferred the location from 3 on.
14) Pick one: Team Voldemort or Team Harry
Normal books/movies, definitely team Harry.
AVPM on the other hand, DEFINITELY team Voldemort (maybe I should do an AVPM challenge?)
15) Who would be your best friends at Hogwarts (up to 3)?
Oh goodness. Can the twins count as one? I would say twins, Ron, Hermione.
16) Your favorite professor
Hands down, McGonagall. I love that woman and her sass. I also really like Lupin, but McGonagall still wins.
17) What would your wand be made of (choose wood and core)
Actually, for a 30 day challenge I did on Facebook one time, I went through the different woods and cores and their meanings for personality, and I came up with an Ebony, Pine, or Ash wand with a phoenix feather core.
18) Least favorite of the 7 books
Chamber of Secrets is definitely my least favorite book, followed by Sorcerer's Stone. I think there was a huge quality shift between COS and POA, both in the books and movies.
19) Do you prefer the books or movies?
Is that even a question? Obviously, I prefer the books.
20) If you could meet one member of the cast, who would it be?
The sad thing is that I feel like I wouldn't really want to meet the actors, I would want to meet the characters. Because I'm worried that if I were to meet the actors, it would ruin my views of them... like I already have lost a lot of respect for Daniel Radcliffe for showing up to the filming of Deathly Hallows drunk. I mean, my perfect little view of him as Harry Potter was already smudged a bit after seeing stories about his sex life. Just no.
21) If you could bring one of the characters back to life, who would you choose?
I'm sorry, all you people who would bring Dobby, or Snape, or Dumbledore, or Sirius, or Lupin back. I love all of them. But I love Fred more. I sobbed like a- oh wait... explanation for #23. I'll save it.
22) Pick one: Harry Potter or Twilight
This question is even more stupid than #19. HARRY FREAKIN' POTTER.
23) Any/all parts of the books/movies that made you cry
Fun story. When the DH book came out, I was 13 and was on a trip with my parents. We couldn't go to a midnight premiere, so I bought the book the next morning at the airport we were at. I spent all day on the plane reading the book, but I had to go to sleep rather than staying up all night to finish it. So, I got up the next day and read more. I got dragged to the mall in the middle of this, and refused to put the book down. And I got to the part where Fred dies in the middle of the mall. And I started crying right there in the middle of the mall. I was a wreck. I was sobbing in the movie too. And the part when the twins are asking each othe if they're ok. And when Dobby died. And when Snape died.
24) Any particular scene you wished was in the movies but wasn't
Ugh there are so many. One that I really loved, though, was the scene in SS when they're in the great hall singing the school song at their own pace, and the twins chose to sing at a funeral march pace and at the end, they were singing by themselves and Dumbledore was conducting them. Then he wipes his eyes and says "ah, music. A magic beyond anything we do here." which is awesome because the scene is hilarious and as a music major, it tugs at my little heartstrings.
25) Are you satisfied with the epilogue?
Simply, no. There are good and bad things. I like the setting. The fact that it was King's Cross at Platform 9 3/4. I thought that Harry's kids had cheesy, lame names. Harry, you can't just name your kids after your parents and the dude that wanted to bang your mom. Doesn't work. I like the little moment where Harry is like "if you wanna be a gryffindor, then you can be a gryffindor". As far as the movies, I really appreciated the fact that they aged the actors rather than getting different people. It wouldn't be the same without them. Without them, it wouldn't truly be Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny saying goodbye to their kids. However, it was WAY too short and vague. I felt like hey, I've put so much of my life into this series, into these characters, and you give me a half-hearted ending and told me how characters I don't care about ended up? NO. Everything was skimmed over. Draco and Harry acknowledged each other. Great. They don't totally hate each other like they used to. So what is their relationship now? Have they ever talked? If they talked, would they be friendly? How much has Draco changed? Neville is skimmed over. Oh look, he's doing exactly what you thought he'd be doing. But how's Georgie doing? What about Luna? Seamus? Dean? Is McGonagall still running Hogwarts? Is she still alive? How are Molly and Arthur? Seriously, so many holes. Half the stuff I know about the epilogue didn't even come from the epilogue. It came from interviews with JK Rowling, explaining things. That's how I found out that Neville and Luna didn't end up together, because LUNA ISN'T EVEN MENTIONED. UGH. I apologize for my rant.
26) If you were able to use one spell without a wand, what would it be?
I think this question is meaning that if I, as my unfortunately muggle self, could do a single spell from the wizarding world, what would I choose. And I'm sure that with a lot of time and dedication, I could think of a better answer, but I'll just stick to my regular "swish and flick." Seriously, there's a reason they teach it to eleven year olds. It's SO useful. Even more so than accio. Because accio just makes things come to you. I could clean my entire room without getting out of bed if I could use Wingardium Leviosa.
27) Which of the Deathly Hallows would you rather own?
I'm not trying to be the "smart one" here, but the invisibility cloak seems to be the most useful to a witch/wizard. Think about it. Unless you're going to be dueling all the time and attacking people, the elder wand isn't at all necessary. And people get killed over it. The resurrection stone doesn't REALLY bring people back, and just like the brother in the tale, the person could be insanely depressed. The cloak is definitely the most logical.
28) Who would be your nemesis at Hogwarts?
I would say either Lavender Brown or Pansy Parkinson. They're both annoying, snooty girls that I just couldn't deal with.
29) Is there a job you would want to have, were you a part of the wizarding world?
I actually don't know. I've never done much research into wizarding jobs. If I was good enough at one of my subjects in school, I could possibly end up a professor. I don't know.
30) Describe the affect Harry Potter has had on your life and how much it means to you
I'm not even sure it's possible to put it into words. Until the age of 10, I wasn't allowed to read them. My parents were told by one of their friends that there was devil worship in the books. Obviously these people had never seen the movies or read the books, but rather had heard this information from somewhere else. Which pissed me off once I was allowed to read them because I'd ALWAYS wanted to read them and had never been allowed because of this supposed "devil worship". NOT COOL. From that point on, Harry Potter became a huge part of my life, and it has been ever since. It lead to the best day of my life, which was the day that I got to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I only got to go one day, but it was absolute perfection. We were there from the time the park opened until almost closing time, and we spend the entire day at Harry Potter World. I got to ride the castle ride twice, the dragon ride twice (once for each dragon. If I remember correctly, I thought the teal one was more fun than the red one, which is funny cause red is my favorite color and teal is my second favorite), and went on the hippogriff ride just to say that we went on it. I bought 4 wands... which was partially the result of poor planning. See, I looked online before we went, because I wanted to see what all I was going to buy. And I was really disappointed that the Weasley twins' wands weren't there to buy. So, I went into the park knowing that I wanted to get Hermione and Draco's wands. But then in the shop off of the castle ride, I discovered that they did, in fact, sell the twins' wands and was too attached to the other two to let them go, so I just kept them all. I drank lots of butterbeer, bought a chocolate frog ( which melted too soon), as well as a lot of other cool things. ANYWAY. Clearly, Harry Potter has had a HUGE effect on my life and it means WAY too much to me to be able to put it into words.

25 Songs, 1 Day

1) A song from your childhood:
Toby Keith- Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue. For some reason, I loved this song. And I didn't realize that it cussed. But it was my favorite song as a second grader.

2) A song that reminds you of your most recent ex-boyfriend:
He Is We- I Wouldn't Mind. We didn't have any specific song that was "our song" but this was one song that we usually related to our relationship. And it was the most often used one.

3) A song that reminds you of one/both of your parents:
Little Big Town- Pontoon. My dad was obsessed with this song last summer and he sang it literally everywhere he went. Well... sorta. Sometimes he just went around saying "MOTERBOATIN'!"

4) A song that calms you down:
Parachute- She (For Liz). I just chose a Parachute song for this one. All of their songs are super chill and I listen to them to fall asleep a lot. Their first cd especially.

5) A song that is often stuck in your head:
Lately, it's been One Direction- Kiss You. Let me make this clear... I don't think One Direction makes good quality music. At all. I don't think they sing well. I don't like their fangirls (just as a side note, Alex Gaskarth, lead singer of All Time Low, AKA one of my 2 favorite bands, said that he thought a One Direction song was bad, poorly written, etc. and 1D fans told him, among other rude things, that he should go kill himself like his brother who committed suicide many years ago. WHO DOES THAT?! This is why no one likes you, 1D fangirls!!!). Anyway... all these things aside, I do LIKE their music. Even though I know it's utter crap. It's my trash music.

6) A song that reminds you of a best friend:
Ke$ha- Die Young. One of my best friends is a vocal music major and usually only listens to opera and musicals. But her trash music (like my 1D) is Ke$ha. She absolutely LOVES Ke$ha.

7) A song that reminds you of the past summer:
Jake Owen- Barefoot Blue Jean Night reminds me of summer in general... and so does All Time Low- The Beach.

8) A song that reminds you of your "first love":
Jes Hudak- It's You. I could say "see #2" but I won't. Just for a bit of background on this song, it was written for/on a tv show called Platinum Hit. It was a competition for songwriters. Jes, at the time, was in a pseudo-relationship with Johnny, shown in the video, who she met on the show and was competing against. This song was kinda-ish about him.

9) A song that makes you hopeful:
David Cook- Time of My Life. Am I the only one that thinks this sounds stupid? A song that makes me hopeful?

10) A song by your favorite band:
McFly- Lies, All Time Low- Weightless. I have two favorite bands, and used my favorite by each. Although I call them both my favorite, McFly still beats All Time Low.

11) A song on the soundtrack to your favorite movie:
Power Tool- Two Heads Are Better Than One. My favorite movie is Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. It never fails to make me laugh!
12) The last song you heard:
Parachute- You And Me. This is excluding the ones I've listened to while doing this, since I would have to repeat #11 since that's what I'm listening to currently.

13) A song that reminds you of a former friend:
Bowling For Soup- 1985. This reminds me of my best friend in jr. high. She introduced it to me at one of our sleepovers and I've loved it ever since. It's kinda funny, because this generally wasn't her type of music at all. I almost chose SOS by Rihanna, Sk8er Boi by Avril Lavigne, and any Jonas Brothers song, but changed my mind. Though we were VERY obsessed with the Jonas Brothers.

14) A song that reminds you of your boyfriend:
He Is We- Blame It On The Rain. I'm currently single, but this is kinda how I feel.

15) A song you love singing along to:
Macklemore- Thrift Shop. I generally hate rap, but I am SO guilty of repeatedly jamming to this song and I know every word. Back in like... January, I couldn't stop listening to it. When I first heard it back in the fall I hated it. But I love it so much now. I wear your granddad's clothes. I look incredibleeee.

16) A song that has made you cry:
McFly- She Falls Asleep Part 2. I know there's a better example of a crying song, but I couldn't think of it. Parachute- Forever and Always is also a good one. Anyway, this song is about a girl who commits suicide and it's just beautifully written and Tom Fletcher performs it perfectly live too. And he composed it when he was only 19/20.

17) A song that makes you want to dance:
All Time Low- I Feel Like Dancin'. This was the only song I could come up with because most of my music is headbanging music, not dancing music. I mean, even this song isn't dancing music. But it at least talks about wanting to dance...

18) A song that you love but rarely listen to:
McFly- Sorry's Not Good Enough. I could honestly say this about most McFly songs. This is why I have 2 favorite bands. McFly's music often isn't the type that I could listen to over and over and over, but rather the type where I could just turn it on literally any time ever and listen to multiple songs and be content with life. All Time Low is more of the over and over type.

19) The first song in your iPod/iTunes:
The Academy Is...- Attention. This, however, is only because I have my iTunes set to sort by artist and then by Album year, and TAI is the first artist. When sorted purely by song name, the first song is Cartel- A. I'll put both videos on here for you.

20) The last song alphabetically in your iPod/iTunes:
Lost In Society- Everybody's Gone. (This is on the Artist/ album sorting.) I've literally never listened to this song, so you don't get a video. It's from a Warped Tour compilation. Purely alphabetically, Green Day- 86. I'll use that one for the video.

21) Your favorite song:
Weightless- All Time Low. Prepare yourself. Long paragraph incoming. I was really hoping this wouldn't be on here, but alas, here it is. I claim this song as my favorite, but honestly, I don't have just one favorite. There are WAY too many songs to choose from, I mean, I have 4500 alone in just my personal iTunes. There's no possible way to pinpoint one single song as my favorite ever. My favorite by a single band, sure. But even that one's a toughie. ANYWAY, since I already used Weightless earlier in this (see #10), I'm gonna use my "second favorite song," which is 30 Seconds To Mars- Closer To The Edge.

If you're not an All Time Low fan, skip the following rant: If there are any ATL fans reading this and judging me for Weightless being my favorite... just stop. I know most people who say that are just people who "like" ATL. I know it's not one of the *best* songs by them. But there's a difference between best and favorite. And the lyrics to Weightless are close to my heart. And here I am, still a true fan. BOOM. Jalex and Riadee 5EVAR!!! OK, I'm done.

22) A song that someone has sung to you:
I'll Make A Man Out Of You from Mulan. Ok, technically it wasn't sung TO me, it was sung as a group multiple times by me and my friends, but same thing. My best friend/ roommate is a vocal music major and I can't think of anything she's sung to me. I feel like a failure.

23) A song that you cannot stand to listen to:
Nicki Minaj- Super Bass. OK, I hope this is a music video/song, because I just typed in Nicki Minaj and chose the first thing. It looks like a music video, so I'm just assuming it is. I can't stand her. At all.

24) A song that you have danced to with your best friend:
Rihanna- SOS. Let me just clarify that this was during jr. high, with the girl I was best friends with in jr. high (same girl from #13). I can't stand Rihanna now, but I kinda liked her music in jr. high. I'm not sure what was wrong with me, but it was something MAJOR.

25) A song that you could listen to all day without getting tired of it:
Parachute- Kiss Me Slowly. It's just so chill that I could listen to it all day and still be cool with listening to it!

OK, that's my 25 Songs in 25 Days 1 Day Challenge. Hope y'all enjoyed it. I'll be doing another soon. Comments always appreciated! :)

30 Day About Me Challenge

I figured that since I'm still in the beginning phases of this blog, I should do an about me challenge. Only seemed fair to allow people to get to know me just a bit.

1) Basics about myself:
I'm Kristen. Almost 19. I'm a brunette with red bangs. Brown eyes. Average height. Musician- violist. Dapple in piano, guitar, and ukulele. Just finished my freshman year of college. Music and Psychology major. My friends say I have a grunge look going on. I obsess over McFly, Harry Potter, and guys in bands (I love pop-punk and post-hardcore). Uhhh... yeah.

2) 10 likes and dislikes:
Likes: Red. Vans. Reality TV (competitions. NOT Jersey Shore crap). Horses. 80's Movies. Piercings. Hot Topic. Pizza. Procrastinating. Sleeping.
Dislikes: Pink. Dressing up. Birds. Rap. Being uncomfortable. People... sometimes. Really girly girls. Vegetables. Iced Tea. Doritos.

3) Your day, in great detail:
Monday, May 6, 2013. I woke up around 12:30. Got out of bed and went downstairs to watch TV. I watched a show about 40 celebrity breakups, Cyberchase, and Maury (quality TV, I know). During this, I also cooked a Totino's pepperoni pizza and ate it. I then showered/washed face/ brushed teeth, etc. and my mom and I went to a music store downtown, where I was PLANNING on buying sheet music... but they didn't have it, so I have to wait a week. Then we went to Walmart and McDonalds, then back home. I watched the latest Teens React (TheFineBros on Youtube), Charade (with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant), and part of the Poirot British TV series from the 90s while unpacking clothes. Ate dinner, more unpacking, and now I'm here.

4) Meaning behind my Tumblr name:
Well, this isn't Tumblr. But I'll explain it anyway. My tumblr is KristenMcFly. My name, and the name of my favorite band. Pretty simple. And my name on here is MusicIsLife. Also very simple.

5) Five places I want to visit:
New York City: I really want to see Broadway shows. SO BADLY.
Harry Potter World: I've been there once but that just doesn't cut it. It's the coolest place ever.
Disney World: I've only been to part of it. There are parts I didn't get to visit and it makes me really sad.
England: I want to see McFly live. REALLY badly. And they never play in the US.
Uh... I really can't think of another. I'm not a big traveller.

6) What Band is most important to you?:
I hold MANY bands really close to my heart. But the most special ones are McFly and All Time Low. I wish I could say how I feel about them without majorly freaking out, but I can't, so I won't.

7) Do you read? What are your favorite books?
Of course I read! The Harry Potter series is always at the top of the list. I also enjoy the Pendragon series and Mortal Instruments series. I love the book And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. It's my favorite book that's not part of a series. 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher is another amazing one. All-American Girl- Meg Cabot. I recently fell in love with This Is Your Brain On Music by Daniel Levitin. It combines psychology and music in a really interesting way and I can totally relate to Dan in many ways.

8) Three things you want to say to different people:
Warning: I have a feeling that this might turn into a rant. I apologize.
My most recent Ex: I hope you realize how many friends you lost. And I hope you realize why. You pulled a really stupid move ending our year and a half long relationship through a message on Facebook. I was too busy to call that night, but you could've waited a day or two to break it off over the phone. I thought you were the one. You were my best friend for four years. You betrayed my trust, and had a new girlfriend two weeks after we broke up. And our guy friends refuse to talk to you now. Was it worth it?
My roommates: I've only been gone a few days, but I miss you two like crazy. I can't wait to get back on campus in the fall and move into our room. I'm so lucky to have met the two of you, and it's really hard to believe that it's been less than a year since we met, because we spend all our time together and have grown so close. I couldn't ask for more amazing best friends. I love you two <3
THAT girl from Jr. High: I hope you had fun making me feel terrible about myself for two years. You (almost) single-handedly ruined my time in Jr. High. And what did you do it for? To make people like you? To try and steal my friends? It was rude and hurtful, both emotionally and physically. I hope for your sake that you have changed, because you can't survive in the real world being a bully.

9) Pet Peeves:
My biggest pet peeve is bad grammar. Honestly, people, you were taught the difference between there, their and they're in 2nd grade. NO, that is NOT there car. It is also NOT they're car. Apostrophe does NOT always equal possession. I also get annoyed when people will sing a song I know and then get the words wrong. Slow people get on my nerves, whether it's slow-walking people or slow-driving people. I hate when people get a fact wrong and then refuse to admit they're wrong, even when I fact-check them. Yes, I'm one of those people who, in the middle of an argument, will whip out my phone and prove I'm right just to shut you up.

10) 1 food/ beverage for the rest of my life:
The intelligent choice would be water... but I'm going to choose favorites. I could eat chicken tenders with honey mustard for the rest of my life, and I would drink Dr. Pepper.

11) What is your favorite quote?:
I love too many to choose just one. My favorite saying is "Que sera, sera." I love the lyrics to All Time Low's song Weightless.

12) Screenshot *your desktop:

13) Three confessions of your choice:
Hmm... I'm pretty much an open book, so none of these things is going to be a legit confession...
1- I'm from the South, and I'm very proud of that, and even though I currently live in the north, I will say y'all til the day I die. BUT I absolutely cannot stand sweet tea. Or any other tea for that matter. And I was even born on national iced tea day. (feel free to look that up if you wanna creep on me and find out my birthday... or if you wanna see if that's a legit thing)
2- I have 3 huge fears in life: birds, spiders, and clowns. I also get terrified when performing in front of people but that's separate. Birds are literally the scariest thing in the world to me. Especially ostriches. Those things are terrifying.
3- I used to be really athletic. When I was younger, I played basketball, softball, tennis, and volleyball, plus doing horseback riding. Now I sit at home and do nothing.

14) 5 celebrities you fancy.
#5- Joel McHale (Actor- Community, Host of The Soup). He's so funny. He makes me laugh every time I watch anything he's in. I know he's like 20 years older than me, but I don't care. I love him.

#4- Kellin Quinn (lead singer of Sleeping With Sirens). He's adorable and genuinely a good guy. Plus he loves his Pokemon. He can beatbox, and in an interview, he was randomly asked to beatbox the super mario theme and did it... and the underwater theme. Adorable nerd.

#3- Dougie Poynter (bassist in McFly). Dougie's absolutely precious. He's absolutely adorable and I love him. He had so many hard times, and had to struggle with addiction and depression and he came out of it so strong and I just love him.

#2- Alex Gaskarth (singer/guitarist in All Time Low). He's adorable and hilarious and I just can't ever stop laughing when I watch a video with him in it. And he's such a sweetheart too.

#1- Tom Fletcher (singer/guitarist/songwriter/pianist of McFly). Let me just say, I've been in love with this man for YEARS. Not just since the wedding speech video (which made me cry. A LOT). I swear, Tom is my perfect man. He's a crazy talented musician (he plays multiple instruments, is an amazing songwriter, and has the voice of an angel. He's better live than on CD), and he's a total nerd. I'm talking like completely obsessed with Harry Potter, Star Wars, Disney (he has a huge collection of Disney plushies), and plays WoW. Like THAT nerdy. And he's adorable.

15) A photo of someone you fancy at the moment:
OK, I'm not posting a picture of someone I know personally. Sorry. I WILL however, post a pic of a youtuber I'm currently in love with! Danisnotonfire!!! I love him. And Phil. But I'm more of a Danasaur.

16) If the world were to end tomorrow, what would you do with your last day on earth?
I'm not totally sure... I'd either spend it in total isolation just watching youtube videos and reading or something, or I'd spend it surrounded with friends and family. It depends on my mood that day.

17) What do you want to be when you get older?
Well, unfortunately, I'm in college, so I need to figure this out ASAP. Currently, I'm majoring in Music and Psychology (the Psychology thing is new. I went into college as a music major). I want to do research on music and the mind.

18) Name the TV show you have gotten addicted to:
Well... I have a lot. Project Runway, Community, The Office, Top Chef, Duck Dynasty... I have a lot of obsessions. Mostly reality competitions. I don't watch a lot of scripted shows.

19) A list of all the places you've lived:
Olathe, Kansas
Enid, Oklahoma
Frisco, Texas
Aberdeen, South Dakota
Memphis, Tennessee

20) Concerts you've attended:
I'm not a big concert-goer. I don't enjoy drunken crowds. When I was younger, I saw Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, and Jake Owen, and Kenny Chesney. Back in October, I saw The Spill Canvas and got to meet them. It was amazing!

21) Turn on's/ off's:
This is gonna be really general.
On: funny, sweetheart, unique, uhhh... I usually pay attention to hair before anything else. I like emo or shaggy hair most. I like tall dudes. Piercings usually make a guy more attractive. And tattoos.
Off: doing drugs, drinking, full of himself, loudmouth... yeah...

22) Picture of what you wore today:
23) A Letter to someone. Anyone.

This one's for my best friend.

K.

24) Seven things that cross my mind a lot.
1- I should probably practice.
2- Maybe I should try getting something done.
3- I'm hungry.
4-ILOVETOMFLETCHERSOMUCH
5- I should really get something done.
6- SUMMERRRR!
7- I miss my friends...

25) Date a plain person with a great personality or an extremely attractive person with a plain personality?
A plain looking person with a great personality. Hot, boring people are still boring people.

26) What are some little things that make you feel warm and fuzzy?
Uh... my harry potter snuggie, coffee, my stuffed animals, a good book... yeah.

27) A picture of your handwriting.

 28) Do you wish for anything at 11:11? If so, what?
Yes, I do. And I can't tell you or it won't come true.

29) Picture of yourself.
Well, if I must. Here ya go.

30) Anything you want to post about.
Uhhh... FAVORITE YOUTUBERS! All time fave is Smosh. I love Anthony. TheFineBros. Jenna Marbles. Jacksfilms is seriously my soul mate. He studied music theory in college and is a grammar nazi like me. And then I have a ton of British youtubers that I watch: Danisnotonfire, Marcus Butler, PointlessBlog, Jacksgap, Sam Pepper, Caspar Lee, Amazing Phil. I also love swiftkaratechop, Joey Graceffa, and of course, Tom Fletcher.

Hope you enjoyed this one. I wanna do the 25 songs challenge next... partially because it's shorter. But partially because I love music so much!

30 Day Disney (Animated Features) Challenge

What better way to start out than with Disney?! Since this is the "Animated Features" version, ONLY Disney Animated Classics are included in this (So, not Up, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, etc. even though they're absolutely amazing)

Here's the list I'll be using:

1) Favorite Character: I'm surprised that this was left as open-ended as it was. Choosing a single favorite character from the entire Disney animated classics collection is literally impossible. So here's a list of ones that I really love/ my favorites from some of my favorite movies
~Berlioz- The Aristocats
~Simba- The Lion King
~Kiara- The Lion King 2
~Mushu/Mulan/Shang- Mulan
~Flynn Rider- Tangled

2) Favorite Official Princess:

Is it even possible for anyone but Mulan to win? Seriously, she totally threw the typical feminine roles aside and got away with pretending to be a guy and was more intelligent and more capable than the men she fought beside. I love Mulan.

3) Favorite Official Prince:

I honestly can't choose between Shang and Flynn. I love them both. Shang was one of the first princes to actually have a character. Before Aladdin, the princes were just there to be pretty and marry the main character. Shang is intelligent, hardworking, and still nice to look at. I don't like Flynn just because he's attractive- although, yes, I will admit that he is definitely the most attractive prince. But he's also really funny and clever and even though he's a bad boy, he's a total sweetheart.

4) Favorite Heroine:

Please don't hate me for this. Although I generally deem most Disney sequels to be much lower quality and pointless, The Lion King 2 is the exception. Maybe because it only came out 4 years after the original rather than a whopping 50 (Cinderella 2&3, Lady and the Tramp 2...) This may also be me making excuses for loving a movie because I grew up with it. Either way, Kiara was 100% me as a child... and me now. I love her.

5) Favorite Hero:
Can you tell I love The Lion King? I love Simba. Although he kinda gets on my nerves in Lion King 2. A lot. I love him most as the little lion cub. He gets better songs then too.

6) Favorite Cast of Characters
It's a tie between these two. They have some really fun and unique characters.

7) Favorite Friendship:
These two are just the best. They're my favorite characters in Cinderella. And yes, I do like them better than Cinderella.

 8) Favorite Sidekick:
I'm not sure if Mushu even counts as a sidekick, but I'm choosing him. He brings a HUGE chunk of the entertainment factor to that movie. You go, Eddie Murphy!

9) Favorite Couple:
Mulan and Shang, definitely. I love that they are a legitimate couple that actually fell for each other, rather than just being like, oh hey, you're pretty. Let's get married! (Aurora and Phillip, I'm looking at you!)

10) Favorite Animal Couple:
Again, please don't kill me, but I love Kiara and Kovu. Partially for the same reason as stated above for Mulan and Shang. But they totally WEREN'T supposed to be together. He was shunned, but yet she knew the truth and it all ended up happy!

11) The Pet(s) I Wish I Had:

Berlioz- I'm not a fan of cats outside of Disney movies, but this cat sings and plays piano. I'm a musician. I'm not sure I could find a cooler pet. Khan- I've always wanted a horse... a black one. And Khan is SUPER loyal. Lucky- I'm a dog person, and Lucky was always my favorite of the 101 dalmatians. Not sure why. Morph- Does this one even need explaining? Morph is one of the cutest things I've ever seen EVER.

12) Favorite Villain:

Scar has always (er... almost always) reminded me of Snape (from Harry Potter, if you don't know...). I'm not totally sure. Maybe it's the voice... and the evilness. IDK. I've also always kinda thought Maleficent was cool too... and I JUST found out they were making the movie about her. Should be interesting.

13) Favorite Villain Song:
I have 2 favorites: Be Prepared by Scar in The Lion King & Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians.

14) Most Chilling Villain Demise:
DEFINITELY the Horn King's Death! He's super creepy already but when he gets totally ripped apart until he's just bones... *shudder* Totally doesn't belong in a kids' movie...

15) Moment that makes you laugh til it hurts:
I tried to find a video of this, but completely failed. If anyone knows where I can find one, please comment a link!!! Here's a small bit of the audio that I found:
My favorite funny moment is in Aristocats. It's right after Amelia and Abigail save O'Malley, and Dutchess is trying to get O'Malley to be nice to the annoying geese.
O'Malley: okay, okay, baby. Hiya, chicks
*geese giggle*: We're not chickens, we're geese!
O'Malley *dripping with sarcasm*: No! I thought you were swans!

Maybe it's just because I love sarcasm, but that bit always cracks me up. I love O'Malley.

16) Moment that makes you cry your eyes out:
The end of Mulan where she brings the sword and medal to her dad and then Shang comes and it's all happy! It makes me cry every time!!!

17) A moment that scares you:

The witches in The Black Cauldron always freaked me out! They were creepy!

18) Moment that makes you mad:
This.

19) A Moment That Makes You Happy:
Could this be any more vague? Disney is MADE to make kiddos happy! There are WAY too many happy moments to pick just one out of the bunch! I REFUSE.

20) Favorite Musical Number:
It's not necessarily my favorite song, but it's my favorite combo of song/movie... Scales and Arpeggios from The Aristocats. I love Berlioz and Toulouse dueling on the piano and the paint and I JUST LOVE IT, OK?!

21) Favorite romantic moment:
THIS. If you don't feel like clicking the link, it's Love Will Find A Way from The Lion King 2. Kiara and Kovu just give me too many FEEEEELS!

22) Favorite Ending:
I love the ending of The Aristocats... But Mulan's ending is absolutely perfect too.

23) A Line That Inspires You:
I'm sure if I dug, I could find something a bit more inspirational, but I'm just gonna go with my classic saying: HAKUNA MATATA!

24) The First Movie You Remember Seeing:
Well... I watched A LOT of Disney movies when I was younger, so I have literally no idea what came first. There are 4 that seem to stick out as being very early in my childhood: 101 Dalmatians, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King. I know that Snow White was my favorite when I was really little. And that I called everyone idiots when I was 3 because Cruella de Vil called everyone idiots.

25) Underappreciated Movie:
The Black Cauldron wins this one hands down. Most people don't know about it, and many that have seen it don't realize it's a Disney movie. But I think it's brilliant and it's in my top 5 Disney movies of all time. It's really dark for Disney, so I can understand why it's not as well known, but being an 18 year old with a love of Disney and horror movies, it works for me.

Just a note prior to these next 4 questions:
The next 4 questions deal with the different ages/eras of Disney movies. I had to Google these, because I was unsure of the dates on the different ones, so this is what I came up with.
Golden Age: Couldn't get a definite, but presumably anything before 1977. I think this is a bit too broad of a time period (SO many classics) but to each his own. (also, apparently, in general, this era was from 1928-early 60s. But may be different for Disney)
Dark Age: 1977-1988. Presumably named because most of the movies in this time period are not as well-remembered as other periods
Renaissance Age: 1989-1999, so basically The Little Mermaid through Tarzan.
Millennium Age: I think this one speaks for itself.

26) Favorite movie of the Golden Age:
I'll answer based on the two different possible scenarios. If we're saying that the Golden Age ended in the early 60's, then I would say Cinderella. (Alice in Wonderland and 101 Dalmatians are close). If we're assuming the Golden Age stretched all the way to the Dark Age, The Aristocats is my favorite hands down.

27) Favorite movie of the Dark Age:
Definitely The Black Cauldron. That movie actually kinda fits with the age because it actually IS really dark for a Disney movie. But I love it so much and it's wayyyy too underrated.

28) Favorite movie of the Renaissance Age:
This is the most difficult, because this is the time I grew up with. 3 of my top 5 Disney movies ever belong in this one: Lion King, Mulan, Lion King 2.

29) Favorite movie of the Millennium Age:
I just recently saw Treasure Planet and fell in love with it. I also really like Tangled.

And Finally...
30) Favorite Movie:
Gonna do my Top 5. Here they are:
5-

4-

3-

2-

And #1...

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Comments appreciated. No rude comments though, please. These are just my opinions on the movies... I know many people will disagree with me.

My next challenge will probably be something that doesn't require pictures. Because they're a bit of a hassle to get on here. See y'all soon!
